I have a human team early in the season, they are rookies and the league has some build teams. here is the make up of the league 1 lizardman team 1800ish, 2 orc teams each 1800ish, 1 pro elf less than 1200, 1 high elf less than 1200 and a halfling team 1100ish (veteran keeping his TV low for Inducements sake) and a 1800 norse team.
So far I have 2 throwers, 4 blitzers (2 w/ guard), 2 Catchers (1 with block), 3 linemen, an apoth and I am saving for an Orge currently.
With the different types of teams I want to have a high versitile team that can attack the weaknesses of the respective teams.
I am in 3 game so far 1120 TV, 7 more to go. The lizards are dominating the league currently.
Here is the league site:

Lots of MB and Tackle. You have enough Guard for now; you can't outbash the Orcs and you can already outbash the elves; you should be able to induce stars and/or a Wizard to help deal with the big baddies. Your ticket to building a winner in that format is to see your immediate competition as the other low-TV teams (Elves, High Elves and 'Flings), and your long-term competition as the Lizards. All those teams are vulnerable to MightyBlockle; even some Orc teams care about that, as Dodge is a popular doubles skill for Orc Throwers and some Orc teams run Gobs more than others. Generally, your short-term remedy for 1800k Orcs is a Wizard and a star. Of course, if you get doubles on a Lino, take Guard, but understand that you're mostly doing it for the future.
Oh, and get Block on those Throwers! If I were running one of those elf teams, Strip Ball would be Job One in that format! And this from a guy who doesn't like Strip Ball. You need a guy who can tote the ball in the cage with SH and not fear 1d hits if the opponent finds a way to engineer them. Besides, Blocking up your guys is the best way to keep them from getting killed by Orcs.

Me thinks you want a wrestle, dauntless, tackle/stripball catcher.

I was thinking of putting wrestle on my linemen instead of block and block on all my positionals. But the wrestle dauntless catcher would make a great safety.
I was wondering if frenzy would be an a good option for one of the blitzers.

I think a mix of block/wrestle linemen would serve you well. a MB/frenzy blitzer is a great idea after you get one more gaurder and that ogre.

Tackle... it totally cripples the dodgers.

Well my team so far is 1-1-2 now. Won my first match from a concession (he couldn't play that week, I hate fixed schedules), got beat by the #1 ranked lizards first real game, tied one of the orc teams (killed their kicker), tied the elf team tonight 2-2, nothing special.

For a very nice template of a human team:

It's 301 games old, so it has had a fair bit of attrition in the way, but I think its built just right under any circumstance.
