Hi all.

A league mate rolled an “11” for his already Ag4, Guard, Amazon Blitzer.
He doubt Ag5 can be much useful on a MV6 player, and the team already got 2 other AG4.
Keep it or skip it (maybe for M-Blow or S-Firm)?

She's a Blitzer: no Leap , hence the doubt.

Note: the team got 11 games to play before retirement. Not much more development, time to cash-in.

AG4 is nothing compared to AG5. AG4 means you can dodge and catch easily. AG5 means you can do magic. Even without Leap the blitzer can go pretty much where she wants, pick up balls in TZ's and just waltz out again. And cages need to be tight and even then she walks in on a 4+ usually.

I’d echo the others in recommending AG5, she can dodge, catch an accurate pass or pick up the ball in one TZ with no ill effects now.

She can also dodge into a standard cage on a 4+ so that’s a 75% chance with a re-roll either dodge skill or TRR, whilst this is a risky move the threat of such an action could change how you opponent plays. It’s the same on offence she makes a great ball handler and can always be a threat at passing or can run though all but the strongest defence with ease.
The other main choices of SF, MB or Tackle are all nice but don’t a huge amount to the team compared to AG5.

Finally remember the “rule of cool” an AG4 Guard MB Blitzer is a great and useful player but not particularly memorable. Even if your AG5 Blitzer gets killed by a rock in turn 1 of her 1st game you’ll still be able to reminisce about your awesome stat freak player.

I think teams need a stand out player just to keep them interesting, I can’t fault any of your skills choices but this would make them more exciting as the zons are a very bland team as it is.

I've got an AG 5 statfreak, and especially against non elven teams, he wins games single handedly. AG 5 dodge is just insanely powerful.

It's a poser.

3rd skill, uping AG5 costs a cool 80k to player. realistically 2 skills left to get (the last one is so far away!).

You'd best take it with all that blodge.

What is the alternative... Mighty Blow or what?

Ag5 is worth it but only if you like to win games of Bloodbowl.

Worth it HELL YES
