ST4 AG2 skill order
I'm currently playing a Necro team but I guess this applies to all the blocker types that aren't big guys.
One of my golems skilled up and the two obvious choices are block or mighty blow. I picked MB on the principal that this would generate cas more quickly and allow him to get block that bit quicker than it would be the other way round. As it is he doesn't knock down as often but is more likely to remove an opponent when he does.
Was that the right way to do things or would block first have been better?

Generally some of it depends on the setting as a continuous matchmaking format as fumbbl or cyanide is quite different from a (TT) league... In a league I would go for the skill with most utility here and now - block. I might go the other way with some blocker types if I was sure to get him to the third skill (block, mb, guard). With fleshies I would always take block first as I see necro more as a speed than bash team, there you need the stand firm pillars to stop the opponent rather than cas him. The only exception could be in a developed team, where you've lost one flesh and need to get him up to speed.

Interesting. With Fleshies, I tend to go Block-Guard, with Grab ahead of MB on one guy. Necro are an 11-on-11 kind of team, winning with matchups and durability rather than decreasing the other side's numbers. In a matchmaking format, where progression to high levels is possible, I might consider taking MB as a #2 skill, or at least skipping out on Grab until I've got to 4 skills. But the combination of a good pressure team and a 1TTD threat is just too good to ignore.

IMO it depends on the piece. That Golem's job is to stand in the middle of opponents and muck things up. You have to be standing to make that happen, so they get block first and dodge on doubles. EDIT: On my team.

Well, this is SP cyanide so I can rely on the AI not to do anything clever which helps
In competitive play I agree that Block would be the way to go. Guard would also not be a bad idea. It's just frustrating that the FGs take so long to skill up (and I guess BoBs do too). In the same time to get one skill on one of the two FGs, one WW has +1Ag, Block, Mighty Blow, Dodge with sidestep looming (unless I roll double 6
).
Hell, I've even got a block, tackle zombie!

If you're playing the Cyanide AI, I recommend Pass Block.

You are forgetting guard, which to my mind is the only real competition for Block as a first skill. On my Orc teams I tend to give the first 2-3 Black Orcs to skill up Guard first and Block 2nd.

Yeah, I went for guard straight away on my Wights and totally forgot about it as a Golem option.
Having had a Golem in two tackle zones manage an interception I might consider Pass block...
