New Dark Elf Team 1100k start
I am joining up with a new league starting up in my area and we will be starting with a 1100k TV. The extra 100k is making my life harder than I thought in trying to fit everything in. It will be a 4 game regular season in divisions of 5 to start with, so not long to skill guys up or buy new players so I'm tempted to wedge in as many positionals as possible with the following start:
1 x Witch Elf = 110k
4 x Blitzers = 400k
2 x Runners = 160k
4 x Linemen = 280k
2 x Re-rolls = 100k
1 x Apoth = 50k
I would take Leader on the first Runner to skill, hopefully after the first game. My opponents will be 4 of the following teams 2 Humans, 1 Dwarf, 1 Khemri, 1 Norse, 1 Unknown and then each division will have either a Gobbo or Fling team.
Any advice on the starting build, the amount of bash could make buying a 5th lineman a priority but I'm not sure I can squeeze one in to the start

Hello
forget about getting 12 men in your starting roster. It would require too many sacrifices. They're so expensive
Your roster seems good to me, though I wouldn't take 2 runners, one is enough. Wasn't really convinced by them, and they have AV7. That will hurt you against bashers. DE linelves are already good and can take more punishment
Alternatively you could drop the apo, and then you have two options :
-change the runner to a second witch, she'll survive a bit more thanks to starting with dodge.
-get a third RR
But then, it all comes down to : what will happen in the first game you will play without apo
Pray for the halflings

1 Witch Elf, 4 Blitzers, 3RR and 20k banked for apo is a fine start.

I too would favour 3 RRs. I think 1 Runner is enough on the DE team (for me, his main use is as a Leader caddy). I might go with:
2x Witches
3x Blitzers
1x Runner
5x Linos
3x RRs
I well understand the case for starting with an Apoth, but 2 Witches and 3 RRs is a very potent combo for a starting team, so i put it forward for your consideration. The Witches would skill up quickly, giving them added protection.
Let us know how you get on.

As said above, be sure to have 3 rr, it's VERY important, because a starting DE team lacks Dodge, and rolling a 1 earlier in a turn can spoil your plans.
I wouldn't take the second Runner, one is enough, even if I don't start with a Runner, usually, (talking about 1000K, though).
My 1100 DE league roster would be:
4 Blitzers : 400k
7 Linelves: 490k
3 RR : 150k
1 Apoth. : 50k (DE Blitzers are expensive to replace, therefore in a private league it's good having one since start)
Total: 1090k
10k in the Treasury
Alternatively, you could swap one Blitzer with a Witch, or keep 4 Blitzers and take the Runner, in place of a Linelf (spending all the 1100k at your disposal).
Anyway, my personal recommendation is to get those 3 rerolls and apo since start, the rest of the starting roster is more a matter of taste.

Re: New Dark Elf Team 1100k start
2 Runners is unnecessary. to me its either
3 RRs
1 Apoth
4 blitzers
1 Runner
6 lineman
or
drop runner and blitzer for witch and lineman
usually the problem with the witch is that until she gets block she can eat a rr or two you don't have to spare and can easily die; but with the apoth and the 3rd rr its not crazy to fast track the witch, using her as the initial scorer on the team and target the 4th blitzer as a purchase after game 2. elves can play short handed and the apoth can be used to keep your numbers reasonable if its a rough start to a game so a bench isn't needed out of the gate. its hard to skip the discounted 3rd rr with the extra cash, in such a short league saving 50k cash now is going to be a bigger deal than in a longer league.

I'd go with Jimmy suggestion and try getting two TD's to the witch asap.
