I've just started a mini-league with two teams per player with 8 in total.
One of my teams is Norse (2 wolves, 1 berzerker, 1 thrower, 2 runners, 5 linos, 3 re-rolls)
I've now played my Norse against two starting Undead teams, both similar set up (2 mummies, 2 wights, 3 ghouls, 4 zombies/skellies) and been hammered twice in succession. First game I lost 2-0, had 4 casualties and mid-way through the 2nd half had no players on the pitch. Last night I lost 2-1 had 6 casualties (including a fractured skull) and 2 KOs at full time.
The Undead received first on both occasions - I set up 3 on the line who got variously injured, KOd or stunned by mummies in both games meaning from turn 1 I was outnumbered. I've only got 50k in the treasury, a MNG from the fractured skull and a no skill-ups. Universal block didn't seem to help out as nearly every 2 dice block came up with a defender stumbles or defender down. I'll be using my Amazons (4 blitzers, 2 catchers, 2 throwers, 5 linos, 3 re-rolls, 1 apoth) against the Undead next time round and I'm worried it will go the same way.
Any tips on using AV7 v Undead without getting smashed off the pitch?

Re: How Do I Beat Undead?
Easier said than done, but can be done.
Focus on hitting their ghouls if possible. A good undead coach will protect these at all costs but eventually they will break through and the ghouls will be leading that break. Leave a Block player loose if possible to take them down, as when they go down they tend to stay down.
Tie up Mummies with whatever fodder you have, try and pull them away from the pack as Undead coaches rely on using their ST5 to negate your players, I use my Mummies quite passively as I'm happy having them tie up 2-3 of your ST3 players and making you roll dodges rather than try a 1 in 9 myself.
Whether to body up or stand off is an awkward call, and one you certainly can't make a blanket statement for. With a team full of block but AV7 the question is, "Do I want him to roll dice?" If you're in a tight game with him short on rerolls it's not a bad idea to stand everyone in contact. Apart from the Ghouls you'll find you can effectively pin him in place and those 1 in 9's will come. The problem is you should lose a player a turn if dice are dice, so it's not ideal if you're already men down.
I think the key is standing off until he commits, Undead aren't the quickest (Neither are you, but...), so get stuck in once he heads down a side and try and chip the ghouls.
