4th skill on ball handler Hobgoblin
Hi all,
I just got my 4th skill on my ball handling hobgoblin. He currently has block, dodge, sure hands. I rolled double 5s. I'm trying to decide between fend and side step. I've got a game against developed Wood Elfs coming up and I don't know after that. Here is my current roster - http://www.dfw.bloodbowlleague.com/defa ... p=ro&t=for. Any thoughts would be helpful.

I thought about that, but with my dwarfs being MV4, it doesn't do me a ton of good for him to run off without his support. He tends to get smushed if I don't escort him properly. I guess it does increase my scoring range a bit and makes it easier for him to dash in for the quick score.

How much Kick is in your league? Would Kick-Off Return be a viable option?

Your cage can stand one further from the endzone to score. Your dwarfs are slow so this is an advantage.
Why sidestep? With chaos dwarf it is not the intention that they CAN hit your hobgoblin.
Why fend? Same reason!!

Left field choice here: Armour. You don't want to make another ball carrier and hopefully he won't be getting hit much any how but this keeps him around for longer. Of course it depends how indispensable you feel he is. How would you feel if he died?

I would be inclined to take +1MA, followed by Kick-off Return. 10-12 squares of movement on the first turn, the cage can form well upfield. Also good for 2-turners. You might also get lucky with a 10 at 76 SPPs to get MA8.
Sidestep is possible, to complement Dodge, followed by Fend.
Accurate is an outside choice.
