To cut or not cut?
So my star ag5 wight got injured early in my league's regular season and got -ag. Since I had a tough division and couldn't afford to go to one guard player I kept him. This ended up being the right choice, as I barely made the playoffs and went on to win the championship.
The interesting thing is I rarely went dodging through TZs with him when he had ag5 - but there were a few critical plays where I did. In dodging to an open space, picking up the ball, throwing quick passes, receiving, etc ag4 is the same as ag5. But...it means I am giving away 40TV free every game.
Now however is the perfect time to replace him if I choose to with a new season starting. So what do you think?

Z: Wrestle, Fend

Awful bloat! Fire him immediately!
I would let go one reroll too, 4 are too many.

Ditto. Now that the playoffs are over, you're looking to the future.MattDakka wrote:Awful bloat! Fire him immediately!

Probably should... but, even at 40k bloat, he is still a BEAST! I would have a hard time letting him go....

Might keep Niggled Golem until you get Guard on your new Wight. Then cut/replace.
Ofc, if he MVPs in that time, you'll be sorry.

Re: To cut or not cut?
Agreed with Matt, though I originally voted to keep the Wight and still think it would go well.... Yeah, do keep the niggled Golem.... I had a Black Orc catch a niggle in his first game and he retired with the whole team some 40 games later! If they can beat armor 9, then let 'em take a shot at a casualty....mattgslater wrote:Might keep Niggled Golem until you get Guard on your new Wight. Then cut/replace.

Re: To cut or not cut?
Unless your next season is going to be about 30 games, you'll not develop a new Wight into as useful a player as this guy is by the next playoffs. And, like you said, 40TV-bloat-be-damned, this guy played a big role in carrying the team to the championships this time.
In time, Nuffle will kill this guy or one of your other usefully developed +AG pieces. I'd let it happen naturally on the pitch, and until then I'd let this guy and his teammates keep winning championships for me.

To cut or not cut?
Tough choice, I like him, even with the 40k bloat. 3 x AG 4 players on a necro team is really nice.
I vote keep him, and the golem, they skill so slowly!

Re: To cut or not cut?
He's a fantastic player that can still make a difference.
You have another really strong Wight though that can make up for the gap if you bring up a new Rookie.
If you don't want to let him play out his career until Death or another injury takes him out for good, then right now is the best time to cut him as you can start building up a new Wight.

I'd cut him now and keep the FG. He's not bringing anything new to the team as you already have AG4 players and bloat is bloat.

Re: To cut or not cut?
So I have my division now;
Undead
Amazons
Norse
Vampires
Orcs
I think I've decided to keep the ag busted wight, though I will use him more aggressively then before. But now I am wavering on the Golem.
I really need the guard...but I hate niggles. OTOH, av9+Regen+TS is about the perfect player to get a niggle on...

I'd cut this guy. Paying for Side Step TWICE? Bloat.swilhelm73 wrote:WW: Block, Dodge, MB, PO, SS, JU, SS

Seriously, what's the other SS?
I voted keep the Wight and the Golem both, cut a RR. Let nature take it's course witht hose injuries - either Nuffle will claim them or she won't.
