Humans!

I got some recent inspiration to play humans again, for the first time since 3rd Ed. I have my guideline for how I going to build them in the perpetual and quite bashy format that I'm playing with them in (Fumbbl's BlackBox). Here it goes:

O: Guard, SF, BT (Block,Dodge/Pro)
B1: MB, Tackle, PO (JU)
B2: Tackle, MB, Guard (Dodge)
B3: Guard, MB, Tackle (Dodge)
B4: Guard, Frenzy, MB (Dodge)
T1: Block, Accurate, Fend (Dodge)
T2: Block, Leader, Tackle (Dodge)
C1&2: Wrestle, Fend, Dauntless (Guard)
L1: Kick, Wrestle, Tackle (Guard)
L2: DP, Wrestle

Pretty basic build besides maybe the direction of the catchers. I'm gonna pass on the Blodge/SS traditional build and instead opt for wrestle/fend. My rationale being that they are 2 ST, so the whole Blodge/SS annoying marking guy that you can't get down with 3 blocks loses some of its lackluster when those blocks can easily be 3D. I think of fend as the AG3 Side Step in a way, and has the PO protection to boot, which will be of use (bashy league).

Surely some of these player types will get changed when stats like AG and ST come along, but overall it shouldn't have too great of an impact of developing the others. No one player is greatly specialized in this generic build but can when the Stat(s) come. I like having 2 Surehands on the team (Underated Skill IMO) at all times so that's why we have 2 throwers, one of which can be replaced by a +AG then Surehands on the team. Also want 3 tackle on the team when it gets goin at all times and 3+ Guard.

I've started with the Ogre but still unsure about it, time will tell.

Roll with this many players:
100-125: 11 players
125-150: 12 players
150-175: 13 players
175+: 11 players including JMen!

I have a number of Human teams. What I've learned is that they need to fish for doubles on non-Blitzers to get Guard, and get MB first for most Blitzers, because you really need two TPOMB types to be competitive.

Here are some of mine.

For me I was successful with 4 blitzers 3x guard as 1st skill, the other is the killer build with tackle, MB, and PO. Throwers - yeah I'd say without doubles you have a good mix of skills though I'd only take one thrower and give him accurate as the first skill. Catchers are defensive builds with wrestle, stripball, etc.

You can never get enough guard on this team so if you get a lino with a double take Guard.

I recommend putting Kick on your defensive thrower. If it's on a lineman, it can be hard to fit the skill in your defensive formations.

My NCBB team does this. One Thrower has Block and Kick, the other one Accurate. My other teams all run only one Thrower and no Kicker.

Did just that. Block then kick. Considering putting leader on him as we'll but I don't know if the skill is worth it on humans. You are getting a 30k discount (assuming you cut a RR when you get leader), but that 3rd RR is gonna be a leader that can leave you vulnerable. Idk.. 2 rr's may even be enough once a couple blitzers get dodge and a couple other players get block/wrestle. They (humans) do have lots of RR skills already.
