My single goblin (Orc Team) got a normal skill. I've already looked at the thread for hint on upgrades (Side Step, Catch), but I was wondering if Diving Tackle wouldn't be a good choice. Being able to cast a -2 to Dodge all around a player with MV6, Dodge and Stunty would be pretty cool, isn't it? Only concern is that with ST2 and AV7 I fear I'm actually painting a big "Kill Me" on his back...

On an Orc Team I'd go with Jump Up/SideStep or Catch. Not worth giving him DT on an Orc team, on an all Goblin squad having a couple of them is useful, but not so much on an Orc team.

Thanks for reply!
Problem with Side Step is that I'm not very good at positioning. I know it's the key to winning, and I'm improving game after game, nonetheless atm I'm pretty sure I will be unable to make the most out of the skill, so I believe I would waste it.
Jump Up looks nice, but having the Goblin low AV when he's hit he will hit the dirt very hard (i.e. off the pitch).
Catch looks nice, even up to now I've used him mostly to perform fouls and to reach the Troll (if alone) prior to try activating him. Maybe I should change my tactics for him, and try to score with him.
In case it matters, my team is:
4x Blitzers - 3 have Guard, the fourth one is unskilled and injured (-1MV)
4x Black Orcs - 3 have Block
1x Goblin - 1 skill to choose
1x Thrower - 1 skill to choose (pretty sure I'll go for Block)
1x Troll - unskilled

give him sneaky git,one of the reasons to have a goblin on an Orc team is he goes everywhere on a 3+ (stunty) and can move 6 to get into a position to foul....if he gets to 16Spp's and gets a double give him dirty player!! he'll die quickly but people will fear him!!

Another vaild reason for the Goblin is access to a '1 Turn Touchdown' in which case Sure Feet can be very useful

You may think that you won't make the most of side step - but it is still probably the best skill to give the goblin. It will definitely help you to learn more about positioning and it really synergies well with dodge, it will help you to keep the goblin alive for sure.
If you don't want to worry about it, I would probably go sneaky git before sure feet. Having someone you can feel like fouling freely with is great for an orc team.

I'd go with sneaky git - unless you want to use him more as a catcher, then maybe SS.
Goblins on Orc teams are either foulers, since they are cheap, or receivers since they as fast and agile by Orc standards.

Not knowing how to use a tool that you may want isn't the worst excuse for buying one, actually. Your argument against Side Step convinces me it's the right choice: you should take it.

IMO the only real use for a Goblin on an Orc team is for a Throw-Team-Mate One-Turn Tochdown (or TTMOTT for short

). For that, he needs Catch, Sure Feet and Sprint, and Diving Catch, in that order (as if he'll live to gain more than 2 skills).
If you get a double as first (or maybe second) skill though either make him a fouler (Dirty Player, then Sneaky Git), or a marker (Block, then Side Step and Diving Tackle), and get a second Goblin for the TTMOTT.

Thanks everyone for advice. While I'm tempted by Sneaky Git, you're making me re-think about Side Step... two more games to the end of the league, maybe I can give it a try without spoiling anything at this point

Then replace him with a guy of the same name, with the justification that you just spent 80k on a rehab and reconditioning program for him. If he loses a couple SPP, consider it his knocking the rust off as he gets back in the swing of things.
