Hi!
Next friday we'll start with an new league or, more exactly, with a tournament. We are about ten players, so it seems to get very interesting.
My question now: We use the LRB 2.0 rules - everybody may play as much games as he wish and the three best count for the semi-finals -. I'll play a Chaos Team (2 Warriors, Ogre, 8 Beastman, RR 1, FF 8 - no, I want change it anymore

), and we have dwarves, chaos dwarves, norse, amazons, undead, orcs, lizardmen and two teams yet unknown to me.
Now I wonder against whom I should play the first games... after a pratice game against the amazons, I think I won't play against them if I can
What would you suggest?

Depends for sure on the other 2 teams but certainly on the Amazons and the undead. Due to their relative lack of block skill. The lizzies will out st u and the dwarves/chaos dwarves/norse out block u, especially with only 1 reroll. The orcs should be about even, it will depend mostly on the av/inj rolls.

Nope, not the amazons! Since I have no skills, so I can't take the Block result, and they all have dodge, only the 'defender down' harms them.
Against teams with block I have a two-in-six-chance to get them down... but you're right, I would like it more if there were more teams without block.

The block result hurts the amazons worse than it does u. They have at least 1 less av than u do. Not to mention they arent any faster than u.

Play the worst coach. Seriously coaching ability matters a lot more than anything else (well Nuffle can influence events too).

Agreed. Any team is bad if the coach can't use them properly. Then (hopefully) the lashings of spp from an easy opening game will help you later on in the tourney

That's just tempting fate... If you go into a game thinking this, you know your first block is going along the lines of skull/skull, AV = 12, INJ = 12, 6, DEAD.
Playing the amazons is probably a good idea, they tend to get a bit obscene after they skill up a bit, so play them while they are vunerable.
The undead and Orcs are in the same boat as you skill wise, so play them if your a better coach.
It's quite a hitty league, try and keep away from the Dwarves, playing the lizardmen might be a good idea if they're not loaded to the gunnels with Saurusi!
Gk.
