New Lizardmen Team

Hi everybody!!! I'm new to Bloodbowl and I have chosen Lizardmen as my team. I know that maybe is not a good choice for a beginner, but I always found Lizards to be a good army in Warhammer. I have bought a team with 5 Saurii, 7 Skinks, 2 TRR and a FF 1. After loosing my first game against Chaos (and by some miracle, none of my skinks got severly injured or killed), I have 160000 thanks to good cards. Well, now my question, ¿Can anybody give me advices on how to build the team after from now on? ¿Any good tactics to beat teams that have more than 70 points of valoration than my own team?

Now I'm far from an authority on lizard men but I've played against them several times and will give you my 2 cents.
Firstly get the 6th saurus and try and get them skills asap (hard as it is as they can only get points for casulties). Give them block to start, maybe 1 or 2 with piling on. You need the block as you have few rerolls and the sauri will just burn through them.
Also consider getting the Kroxigor.
Protect your skinks as much as you possibly can. The way your opponent will beat you is by doing all he/she can to get the skinks off the field.
Skill choice is limited; only can take agility. So perhaps catch? Sidestep? sure feet would almoust guarantee movement 10. I'm really not that sure with normal rolls. On doubles however, give them block!!!! It'll help them survive. Sure hands would also be nice.
I take it you use special play cards? If so, take random events as they will help boost your cash (Ideally I would have started the team with at least FF7, preferably FF9. Oh and I would have started with more rerolls) with FF1 you need it to replace those skinks!!
Speaking of which, GET AN APOTHECARY!!
To summarise, with 160k, I'd go for a saurus, an apothecary, leaving 30k in the treasury.
Finally it would help to know what rules you are using. The latest can be downloaded free from the web.
Anyway hopefully this has been some use. Perhaps someone with more experience can give more specific tips.

Thanks for your advice. I had thought in a similar tactic after loosing that first game and, by the way, I forgot to mention that I already bought the apothecary while forming the team. I think that with my 160k I'll buy a Kroxigor, and then after the second game a new Saurus. My friends are considering letting me buy the Kroxigor Star Player from the 4th editio, so I've I have the chgoice, I'll buy him, mainly because he has not the Bone Head Drawback.
And you're right. After this first game, following 3rd edition rules, three of my Skinks have won SPPs, although only two have more then 6 points to get their first skill. I have chosen catch for one of them, and Jump Up for the other (although I think I have been tricked by the referee, who insisted me in taking these two skills after the game).
My friends use a compendium of rules consisting in rules of the 3rd edition and the LRB 1.3. And I don't know for sure if they know most of the times which rules apply in certain siutuations, due to the canges they have done over the time (don't ask me why don't they stick just to one rulesbook, be it 3rd edition or RLB 1.3 or RLB 2.0).
