Personally, I would take block. I've had too many instances where a player with lesser strength Kamikazees me out of desperation and gets a knock down and a loose ball.

Break Tackle is a great skill, but you have to be wary of him in the open field against people with block or dodge.

If you want to get your second skill really fast, go with Sure Hands and make him the ballcarrier. Sure Hands is a great skill for a dedicated blitzer, anyway.

Skummy,

I agree sure hands is a good skill, but you would take that over block on the first skill?

Block first, then go fancy however you want.

keith_reed: Yeah, I would. With his speed, strength and the dwarven blockers, you don't really need block right away. It's a way to accelerate his SPP growth, like giving a Mummy Piling On first.

Break tackle 1st. Its far too easy to tie these guys down otherwise, and then you don't have any blitzers.

Then block, then tackle/strip ball if you don't get any doubles. On doubles stand firm & dodge are great.

IMO Hobgobs score - they need SPPs - so don't give the BC skills that make them better at scoring (e.g. catch, sure hands).

If you roll double on first give him catch! This makes him advance even faster! I had this and since that I scored at least once a game with him (has now catch, break tackle, ag+1, block)
The other 1 was my first Bull and still has only Break Tackle and Block.

Nah give him Break tackle first

Break tackle means he can move around a bit more freely, which means he can then score more touchdowns which means he can then get more spp's and then get block

IMO hobgobs score too easily and get SPPs too easily because of this. Bull centaurs, on the other hand, are central to your team's success and need all the SPPs they can get. Scoring with them is the best move you can do strategically with this team, and skills that help them in that regard are always welcome.

Go with Block. And I do have a BC with Catxh (Block and BTackle as well) and he's a real threat!

Block; this way you aren't falling on your back after you roll double block!
