i have played one bloodbowl game with the humans and humans, played against myself. looking to modify the orc team for league play, roughly 20 games any advice?

I am not the most experienced Orc player here (mostly play Chaos Dwarfs), but for a decent newbie "beat'em up" Orc roster, I don't think you could do badly with something like...

3 Orc Blitzers
3 Black Orc Blockers
4 Orc Linemen
1 Orc Thrower

7 Fan Factor
3 Rerolls

use the blitzers' speed for blitzing / possibly scoring
Put the BO's at the LOS and kick butt
Pick up the ball with the SH thrower and if you play well he don't have to let go ...

I would go like this:

3 BoB's
4 Blitzers
3 Lineman
1 Thrower

2 RR
9 FF

10k left over.

This is the roster I've gone with in several leagues and it's served me really well.

Get an apoth after the 1st game then as soon as ya can, get the 4th BoB.

If you're lucky and don't suffer many casualties, you'll have a big guy, a couple of gobbos and 6 RR's after about 16 games or so.

Mechs lineup is very good. However, I like to start an Orc Team with 4 blockers for they take quite long time to develop. Also, a high FF is very useful - you get more money.

Here's what I'd choose.

3 x Blitzer
4 x Blocker
1 x Thrower
3 x Lineman
2 RR
9 FF

...and 10.000 is left for the next buy (apo or blitzer). I don't say this is a better roster, just what I'd take. All the best with your Orcs! They are a lot of fun

I'd probably go:

1 Thrower
2 or 3 BOBs
3 or 2 Blitzers
5 Line Orcs
9 FF
3 TRR
10k left over.

I'd never want to start without 3 TRR. AG3 and lack of block on many players will kill you otherwise.

I like the Gertwise/Bluetooth roster.

not to begin with .. I think you definately DO need 3 RR, the BO's and blitzers are a must as well, as is High FF and some more lino's

i think i am gonna try mechd's line-up. any awesome plays for ogres, or just try a cage? my plays usually involved me taking on weaker teams so i i would just try and destroy as many players on my opponenets team as possible, but how do you deal with tougher bashy teams?

in the starting line up i have just planned i had 4 blitzers and just 2 black orcs.

i know they could do with the extra time to build up the star player points but orc blitzers are awsome and in the league i am joining the other teams are more advanced by 2 - 3 games

no not really

Orcs are easy to play against basher teams. Just do as many 2 die blocks as possible and keep multiple opponent players tied up with 1 Black orc or big guy.

It's the speedy teams that will get ya.

I've started today with

4 blitzers
2 BO
2 Linemen
1 Goblin
1 Ogre
1 Thrower

2 RR
7 FF

First game victory 4-1 against skavens. First skill, a blitzer got +1 move and i'm getting woodies next.

It's a question of luck but i would start with a gob. 11 players was a bet as well.

against speedier teams, skaven and such which seems to be the majority of what i will be facing, should i take the maximum number of blitzers at the exspense of BOBs or just use BOBs on los at the expsense of blitzers and there speed? or maybe just start with an ogre and goblins for TTM? ?
