Too much guard?

Hello All,
Well, for the first time in a league, I have gotten a skill for a third longbeard. And I took guard, again. I now have three Lbs with guard and two blitzers with it as well. With half a season left (4 games) should I lay off guard now and work on other skills, or continue on selecting it, knowing that the more guard, the better.
Aside from those skills I have a runner with pass and an ogre with pile on. (

I know, but I am playing the ogre cause I think its my last shot at it.)
Both my blitzers are close to their second skill, and I am thinking mighty blow, dodge on doubles, for both.
Thanks in advance...

Exactly, guard gets even better the more you have. I even give it as first skill for Troll Slayers.
One important thing with guard is that it gives you the opportunity to follow up to get opponents in your TZ, and still let the LB beside get a 2D block.

Especially on the line- I am not sure how many LongBeards you have total, but if you have more then 3, then you don't have enough Guard yet.
Guard

Guard is a great skill for longbeards casue they are you main fronline. On trollslayers and blitzers I would consider other options.

I wouldn't have given it to a blitzer, he's better off with agressive skills as MB and tackle I guess. Still no thing as too much guard

As already stated, but I would like too add my excessive weight behind it, go Guard

I have said this before but it merits saying again, with my last Dwarf team I had 13 players with guard and as such I was able to take out in my last final a team featuring 4 ST4 BOB 2 ST4 Orc Blitzers 1 Orc Blitzer with Guard and 1 ST5 Ogre out with a perfect defense kick off result. The more assists the better.
I gave it to Blitzers and Troll Slayers as a 2nd or 3rd skill and Runners on doubles. It is a skill for all on a Dwarf team.
never stop taking it!

Thanks all, my wavering dedication to guard has been restored.

think being bit hard on you but "No such thing as too much guard". dwarf team for my money has strong reliable linemen some specialist players to score and fight, and is the most durable team with least flair in the game. Good tactics would be play your strenthgs and a mass (ie5-6) block, tackle, guard would be a desirable team tactical development. However if variety and flair is your style go for two piling on (fighters) two guard (enough to help team) and one dirty player, one kicker (good defensive with front line scrimage kick)

the only time there is too much guard is if your opponent has it

Well take as much guard as you can (exeption Blitzers and Runners)
I would only give guard to 1 Blitzer (first skill) and never to Runners since they can make better use of doubles on this team
