What to take for a WD as a first advancement... a double!

Well, that's about it.

My WDs usually operate independently, and often far from other players. Up to now they weren't used for massive scoring, but I think I'll start.

If the league is predominantly S3 I'd say Jump Up. Otherwise Dauntless. Dauntless is particularly useful if you end up playing Vampires, Chaos or other S4 ball carriers.

I would take dauntless.
For a lineman I would have taken guard.

Pass??? ... try sacking a WD quarterback... You wouldnt have to bodyguard him - thus putting more pressure on the defensive side...

Piling On ;-)

Just gotta rid the world of WDs!

Seriously, Dauntless, Guard or Jump Up would be good.

Mighty Blow or Jump Up.

I wouldn't take Guard on a blitzer in an Elf team, only on linemen.

I gotta go with Dauntless...

too important for an elf team to not take it first. Great on the WD.

Thank you all very much for your comments and suggestion. The poll definitely shows strong favour in giving him Dauntless, but since there is not a large number of ST 4 ball handlers in the league (one Chaos Team, one Chaos Dwarf team with a glittering +1 AG bull centaur, and then Big Guys and Black Orcs, which I do not count as ballhandlers). But to think of it - yes, I think I will take Dauntless. (Although the Pass suggestion was very interesting, I rather use WDs in the upfield, but it was so original it actually caught my attention.)

when dauntless was still just a skill, i used to switch off with the wardancers. 1 would take tackle for his first skill, and the other would take dauntless (order depends on your league). now that dauntless is a trait, I ALWAYS take it whenever I get the opportunity, then other skills fall in around it. a 2nd double would get MightyBlow IMO.

Well - think of it... you´ve got a 8,3,4,7 Block, dodge, leap, pass quarterback - basically a passing AND rushing threat... also... he is so slippery that you won´t have to bodyguard him...thus releasing 2-3 linemen for offensive duties... This guy does EVERYTHING well...
HIs movement forces your opponent to cover all areas of his backfield - else - The QB will just break out and do a massive 10 square move to some remote corner... after that you screen him and the TD is secure.... if you haven´t scored on his blitz... ;)
