How do you score with BUll Centaurs?

Hi everyone-
I am playing a CD team in MBBL. finally after 4 games (2-2) I get to roll for some real skills.
My roster is
2 BC (one with 4 spp, and 1 w/ 7 spp and just rolled doubles for his first skill)
4CD (2 with guard, 1 more died last game)
7 Hobos (1 w/Pass 2 w/ Block)
4RR 10FF 2 Cheerleaders 1Apoth
So I am going to take Dodge for my BC. But my question is I have looked at a bunch of teams with the rosters online and a lot of them have BC with more TD than anyone else on the team.
How do you do this? i realize that once a BC ge
ts the ba
ll it will be hard to get it out of his hands but how do you get it there in the first place. Give it to him on a touchback yes. But with AG2 he really shouldn't try to catch the ball. handoff but you are still ag2 do you just bite the bullet and go for that?
I have been daring at the start of this league and that cost me both of my games that I lost. So I am going to be a little more reserved with this team. I play Dark Elves with a very daring, go for anything mentality and I played well but lost games that I shouldn't have had and finish I think 5-4.
So what are some of the tactics that help making a BC a scoring machine.
Thanks

If you're looking for a touchdown-machine BC, you want to slap some Sure Hands on him. Until then, you just play with no fear and lots of rerolls.
- Are you playing against a fast team that can get to an unguarded ball? Was it a short kickoff, so the other team can get at it? Put some TZs on it and send a Hobgoblin to pick it up. He can hand it off.
- Are you playing against a slow team? Did the kickoff go deep? Then send your BC and have him pick up the ball.
BCs are AG2, but don't let that scare you. That's a 50-50 chance of picking up an unattended ball or receiving an unmolested handoff; with a TRR you only blow it one time in four.
And as you correctly noted, once a BC has the ball it's very tricky to get it away from him.

That would be my plan, but i don't have a whole lot of experince with CDs.

For Handoffs you could also give him catch instead of dodge, although an agility increase would make things much easier.
With block dodge and break tackle you get one of the top scorers in the game.

Yep, if you want a scoring BC then
Catch may well be a better choice for the doubles roll. You can always take
Break Tackle on your next advance to compensate. To be honest,
Dodge isn't THAT great on a BC - who still only has AG 2 remember. If you do take it, don't let it give you a false sense of hope about dodging about all over the pitch.
BC can score in a number of ways. You could have them break out from a rolling cage for example. The good thing about BC is that they have speed and strength. This means they can blitz and hole AND run through it themselves. Never underestimate the usefulness of this! Most fast players are weak and so have to dodge to get places, or else get a mate to make a hole for them to run through. BC can do it all themselves.
But yeah, I'm assuming many people take
Sure Hands as their first skill with BC..
Good luck!

I did take Dodge for it Block roll benefits. I plan to take Break Tackle next. the BT/dodge combo is where I want to go with him at this point, i think. Catch would be good too, maybe the next dbl's
I will definitely keep a RR handy and have no fear from what you guys have told me.
Thanks

Lightning Bug: I took Catch on the first advancement I got on my BC. Dodge is not too bad, but I (luckily) gave it to him later!
What I used to do is this: on an accurate pass, the BC has 1 chance out of 2 of catching the ball (4+). Just used the probability: I kept my re-rolls for his catching duties until he got Catch. Pray to get an AG increase on one of your HObboes: they make great QB's at 4 (or in my case 5 AG!!!).
Basically what I try to do is this: bash the opposition with the CD's; kick some guys out with one or two hobboes, a quick pass and run down the field with the two BC's helping each other. It worked well for: 3 championships in 3 seasons!
You can see my roster on the website linked below (French website though!)

No suggestions of Stand Firm (also works really well with Break Tackle) or Frenzy?

I would NEVER waste a double on catch. If you want to score with him on a regular base, take sure hands. Else have a spare RR for the handoff.
On a double there are dodge, Stand Firm and Frenzy. CD-RR are cheap, so just keep one for the handoff and take a useful skill.

Stand Firm sounds good....

Stand firm is my first choice on Bull Centaur doubles. If I then rolled another I would give him Frenzy, but not catch or dodge. Sure hands is good enough for a ball handlier. Catch requires someone else to go and pick the ball up and throw or hand off to the BC, so I just skip the middle man and make one roll instead of two or three. I might go Dodge, but with the amount of tackle in my league, it isn't nearly as worthwhile as Frenzy would be.
Picking up with a AG 2 is not as dangerous as it sounds. Just plan as if you are going to fail and more often than not you won't.

Either Stand Firm, Frenzy or Catch on BC on doubles in my opinion.
As its your first Skill for a BC on your team you should have given him Stand Firm or Catch.
