As mentioned, they can do tons. On offense I tend to use them as wide receivers, looking to push players covering them into the crowd as much as possible.

A Solid combo is Witch and the 1st Blitzer to get guard. They both have the movement to get mid-deep into scoring range and have AG4. Remember to posiiton you Witch well if you don't have SideStep so that you are not next off the pitch or blitz to continue movement deeper.

Witches IMO, are best developed as sweepers/blitzers. Everyone can catch so no real need to develop them as receivers.

I guess I should qualify my response based on this- I don't mean get them catch. AG4 is usually enough, I was just talking about field position.

Sweepers or, yes, catchers. Catching is good with their higher move.

as said I'd develope them as blitzers, and surely I'd give em leap. Think about it, can break cages quite easy due frenzy.

If you mean that you can blitz the ball carrier twice, I think you are mistaken, or rather the second block might well be a two-dice defenders' choice block:

X.X
.B.
XWX
L.L

The witch elf (W) gets one-die against the ball carrier (B) because the line-elves (L) cancel assists. If she gets a pushback then the situation is now:

XBX
.W.
X.X
L.L

and the ball carrier has two assists to help him out. Skulls almost a dead certainty knowing DEs luck at this point!

As I've often said, I don't trust WE's. Frenzy is a double edged sword esp with AV 7. I rarely use them in cage breaking, unless I'm deperate.

You are proposing a situation where you play 3 elves against 5 players... I still think witches are good on that kind of situations. And giving leap will allow the witches to score TD to increase the amount of xp.

What about this one?

Code: Select all

..L..
.X.X.
..BW.
.X.X.
..L..
Which leads to:

Code: Select all

..L..
.X.X.
BW...
.X.X.

The WE has to leap of course as the dodge would be suicide. The only real problems are players with Guard.

And those teams which use cages very often have guard.
