Storm Vermin with a double

Had to happen. I was all set to take my storm vermin down the block/tackle/mighty blow route and what happens? I get my first skill on my first one and I roll a double.

I'm now toying with:

Claw (helps on offense)
Razor Sharp Claw (helps on offense)
Dodge (great for getting out of difficult places
Spikes (good for helping out with AV rolls but if someone wants to break your armour they'll just foul you off the pitch I guess)
Foul Apperance (on offense he can harass the ball carrier with pass block as his next skill)

Anything else worth considering? I use them to punch holes in defense and also to score with when my opponents are not careful and get too engrosed with picking on the gutter runners.

Since you use them to punch - take a skill that will injure his opponent... claw or razor sharp claws...
Block is very desirable obviously, but you should take advantage of the double.... make him a killer!!!!

One of my SW has block, mighty blow - works wonders!!! SQUUEEK!

Well they have block to start with which is cool, Claw would be handy for opening Orc armour as even a Stun can help move your offence past his defense.

I'm leaning toward the Block/Claw/Tackle route now, and I bet I roll another double when I go to take Tackle as his 2nd skill

I think I'd give all of my SVs Claw on a double

Yep and if you roll another double you will have a Claw / Razorsharp Claw Storm Vermin :) Very nasty...
But i would also consider dauntless and make him a str4 / big guy hunter if there are many strength teams in your league. A storm Vermin seems to be perfect to give Dauntless because they already have block and can take Mighty Blow (or a claw) on the next skill.
But i must admit that a claw always thems to be a good choice too.

Foul Appearance would be much better on your Linerats.

Give him Claw. Very effective. It'll be a feared player.

Claw - because you'll get more armour breaks, and very often the stun is enough to stop receiver types anyway.

In the long run you will get more cas. (and thus more spp) with RSC (especially with a lot of AV7-teams around)

But i think for clearing your way to victory in the first games claw is perhaps better, hence: claw!

not sure 'best' choice. Personally my stormvermin last very few games and never live till three skills. Not sure if I play weird with skaven but the blitzers are slighlty less crap players to get blocked by my oponent.

Therefore I say dodge: best combo block-dodge, will keep him alive, can score (more skills latter), and dodge out to blitz in your turn.

Fangs and claw good but dodge great generall use skill for any coach of any level of playing.

Think i'd back Juck up on this one, unless you're gonna do loads of bashing get Dodge and he'll be far more useful.

I'd go Dodge, Guard, Tackle I think.

Of course you were going to pick MB so Claw is not so different if you still want to follow your original development plan.

Claw makes holes. Skaven like holes.

Yup, Claw is where it's at. Tackle on the next skill, unless you're fortunate enough to get doubles and have a Claw/RSC player.

Claw just to give the possibility of Claw / razor sharp claw combo.S
