I am interested in playing a game of cross check via E-mail. I know the tool does not support it, but I can just wing it. I made a cool ice sheet too support the game. I am in the process of makeing revised rules to make the game have more strategic rules. Please give me a shout to see if anyone is interested

i'd be willing to do some playtesting and offer what help I can though I know very little about the programing that would be needed.

I never meant I wanted to program a new tool. Although it would be fun to do that. I also realize that games of cross check would take 4 times longer than a blood bowl game.

so that would need something to fix that.
Xtreme have you ever seen the rules for cross check?

In the General section, I posted ideas to play BB Hockey/Cross Check that would not change nearly as much and therefore would be far easier to modify the tool. No new skills, slight change in Turnover rules that are manually handled anyway, and same deal for scoring area. Would have to negate the widezone check on 'kickoff'.

I'd be all for playtesting these rules in e-mail form, too.

Seph, like the board but call me a purist but I like having the play behind the net. Where is Gretzsky's office?

Yeah, you did
As mentioned, the CrossCheck rules are not implemented in a tool that I know of. That being said, I think you can use this tool to simulate BB Hockey and would like to get together those interested to go over rules that would allow it. I put forward:
http://www.talkbloodbowl.com/phpBB2/vie ... php?t=5141
Which I guess would introduce about 80-90% of the pace and feel of the game, and hopefully playtesting could be used to do the other 10-20%.

Well it looks like I got some people interested in playtesting. I was thinking it would be interesting to start a small league and try to expand from there. I want to keep it small because I don't want confusing web programming and all that fancy stuff. Plus my funding is limited so I will just use angelfire. No need for a fancy domain name right

.
On a side not mayby I can persuade ronald loaker or another programmer to help me with a tool involved in play. I will try to keep the rules as simple as possible, but still allowing all the fun and excitement of Blood Bowl Spirit. I will post a page giveing test rules on angelfire (That is if Ronald is interested in helping)
So give me some more input.

Well I am makeing rules and will post them within Sunday night. I have made the rules more strategic and allowed more physical play. AG teams may still have an edgee, but I am working on it. When I get it posted you can give me suggestions.

The odds of Ronald being willing to assist are pretty low to be honest.
I'll see what I can do. Ronald works on the PBeM program anymore only when I get stumped on how to make a new feature or change work.
