I think you planned this whole "downtime" thing just so you could say something like that here on the boards. Didn't you?
Grum's right. The new system does rock. Thanks again, Christer and Mr-K.
Hi-tec BB

I just wanted to agree with everyone else; the new system surely makes FUMBBL by far the most automated and hi-tec BB league in existence! It really is excellent.
Crazy me started a team...

... how long does it take to approve it? NOT that I'm in a great hurry....
Is an approval a prereq to accessing the game software? Or am I just not looking in the right place?
What IS the "X" division for?

Approval can take a minute or a day depends when one of the 3 admins are there, thats christer, mr klipp and zy-nox
The x division is for the experimental rosters that are printed in bbmag. You can use any of the official or experimental rosters and the results don't count towards your coach ranking.

How long does an average game take to play? I'm only asking as my current ISP automatically drops the connection after 2 hours. Ohterwise I might have joined before

As long as you don't play me, you should finish a game in well under 2 hours (I have managed several 3 hour marathons, all the while receiving a hectoring from my opponent along the lines of 'have you ever heard of the 4-minute rule?').
Some coaches play at light-speed - I've spectated matches that lasted 45 minutes with no riots. They do tend to make mistakes though...
The game automatically attempts to reconnect in the event of a disconnection (just dial up again), though the game can get desynched when this happens. It is possible to reload, though. If you use an ISP with a fixed IP address, this will help.

Hmmm,...
I'll think about signing up/having a practice match.
I'm movng in 1-2 months and will either be getting Broadband or another dialup ISP, so probably leave it till then.
Thanks for the info, guys

There's no harm in signing up and getting a team or two entered in readiness. I'm sure somebody would be happy to give you a friendly game for practice. Just visit the chat-room.
HELP!

Could somebody help me get started with FUMBLE. Can some one be so kind as to take my hand and walk me threw this like I'm a five year old. I deleted all the stuff for it and will start fresh. I can't believe I'm having this many problems.
So what do I do first?

Go to
Http://fumbbl.com then click on the help icon on the top right, it explains most of the stuff. Then if you have any other questions just ask one of the people in the chat.
