Dont do it man.. you'll spend countless hours sitting in front of your monitor talking to people with strange monikers and make and team after team, join 3 tournaments at once, play 5 games a day and generally become a cave dwelling troll.

Fumbbl will get addictive, but you'll get over it.

Now I only play a game once in a while, and I log onto the chat to kick the shit with the other guys there.

Still, I decided I have to try and get 10 games at least, So am ranked at least.

Pah, it is NOT addictive. I could stop if I wanted to. Really! I could. In a second. Without suffering any problems. Now excuse me, I have to finish my game vs. Dark Elves.

It looks really cool... I was over there today fiddling around w/it so I could try and watch a game. Unfortunately I couldn't get it going... I downloaded the 6.0, then the 6.2 patch and the 6.3 patch and got them all installed. I even managed to make a team on there, but I don't want to start playing until I knew what I was doing on the controls and all.

I tried to access several ongoing games as a spectator... but it would only get to Downloading Team 1... and five minutes later it was still Downloading Team 1 so I figured something was wrong. Anyway, I figured I'd try a stand alone game to check out my team... but it wouldn't upload my team. So I decided to play a stand alone with the teams that come with it. For some reason the top and right of the board are cut off on my screen and there is no way to scroll to them. Still I was able to get 8 players for one team set up on what I could see of the field for kickoff and click TURN - then it told me I needed 3 on the LOS, but wouldn't let me move any of my players??? BTW the LOS is that thick line that runs down the 50-yard line, isn't it?

Man I suck!

Slim Shady... i´m a beginner with this software, too. Maybe you should ask your questions at the FUMMBLE forum. There are lot of people which could help you better than me. Maybe best forum the general chat ?

For me everything is working... spectating and stand alone game. But i never played because i dont have time right now for this.

Yeah, I was really just venting - computers and I don't get along. Thanks for the tip though, I'll probably post my problems over there later. I just have to brace myself for the humiliation that comes with kids pointing out the obvious solutions to me. :-?

Woo hoo! I got it all figured out... er, at least the things I was trying to do. Whe you're as computer illiterate as I am getting this program going is a big accomplishment for me. I watched a game for a few minutes, then I loaded my team and played with myself :D against the Orc team on there. The Orcs kicked my butt, but I got used to the controls, etc. Turns out I had my display set too small, I tried enlarging it and Voila! I'll have to change it back before I hit the hay though, my wife hates this setting 'cause the print's so tiny. I hammered out the entries for spectating and stand alone, so hopefully this week I'll find someone that I can set a game up with.

Also, if you ask around in FUMBBL chat, some of us will be willing to play an 'exhibition game' with a new player.

That's fancy talk for a practice. Just in case you don't want it to count. A lot of people would rather learn and build up their team at the same time, though, so your mileage may vary.

See you around there.

Thats the reason i gave my old PC to my girlfriend and the kids... no one change my settings on MY PC. And i knew how to handle my old PC in case of trouble

I´m playing a Orc team , too. But a beginner, too. So, maybe we can play a game for fun... and if we got a problem, we can just call each other... cheap phone bill :smoking:

But i have to learn myself... just played some games against myself.
