Alternate figures?
I know shadowforge makes nice figures, elves, nuns, bunnies, humans.
The question is, is there anywhere else that makes alternate figures?
carmachu

Phil's Phigs made nice-looking minis but (as i just checked the site) it appears he's on indefinite hiatus (!)
You should be able to find some of their minis around though... they made the valkyrie figs and a few other nice looking sets as well. If you know of any shops that carry non-GW figs maybe you could take a look at them.... there's a store near where my wife used to live (syracuse, NY, USA) that carried a bunch of Phil's & Shadowforge you could buy, but they might be a rare exception.
if you wanted to do a LOT of weapons-removal conversions, I'm a big fan of the figs at DragonRune too (http://dragonrune.com/DRHome/), altho since ive never bought anything from them yet I can't say whether the figs are appropriate scale for a BB pitch.

where in ny do you live carmachu? are you the person on the s-g forums looking for people near NYC? just curious since while i know ny is a big state, if you ever had a chance to get to syracuse you should hit Altered States in Syracuse... that's the shop I was talking about in my previous post. Wish I moved to that area when I married my wife instead of her coming to CT... way cheaper to live up there and that gaming shop actually supports BB. the employees all play, they host leagues and tournaments... great store and great people working any time I go in there.

I live 2 hours north of the city, roughly.
I wouldnt travel to the city to play, too much effort. I playin NJ, at the club which is running a league with football season.

Any other alternate figs? Even if they need conversions. I just want something different. I've already ordered that female figure and a few others from chair's UK site he posted up.

2 hours north in the saratoga area, or out west on the thruway? the HQ looks like a pretty neat spot... surely there's gotta be something in the albany area if you're already coming from that way though? Sorry, dont mean to bother you, I'm just always interested where people are when I find out they're even remotely near me
I dont blame you for not wanting to fight into the city though, it's a bear to get into and out of with a car - I typically hop metro north from nearby the city to get in and around from there.
