Old star players?

Post by tonksey »

Another question re: the world of Blood Bowl. I'm a little confused as to whether or not "old" star players are generally allowed to be used or not; some sites seem to have star player details for them (such as William Chaney, Withergrip, etc) ??? Or is this depending on the league/tournament you're in?

If it's not in the current edition of the rulebook, you can't use it without house rules at the applicable tourney/league.

The only starplayers that you can use all over the world without trouble are the "official" printed in the LRB, BB box and/or DZ.
Other players are subject to the approval of your leage commisioner or in a 1 on 1 game your opponent.
Several "old" starplayers have been converted to the current edition and are perfectly playable as appear in the Citadel Journal 2.
Some has achieven "Official status" in the last version of the game, and new ones are always been posted by players around the world, some better than others (not because they are powerful, but because they are fun to play with or agaist).
Hope this serves you.
