What are some house rules out there that leagues have tried and either failed or have gone over good?
My league over the course of a few years has added a few to set the mood. We use the Stadium feature (allows teams to play in different places depending on the turn out of fans), Fan events, and a Ref chart (randomly determines what ref is attending the game).
All 3 of these HR's I found in older BBowl Mags and through some testing we finally have them worked out to play with LRB5 rules. We are just starting up a United BBowl league in my city and I'm testing it out with other league players and so far they seem to like it . . . I'll know more the closer we get to the cup:)
Ones that bombed where betting (not in real life) on the games, using drugs (NIRL), and Sponsorship. We where playing with Inter match events but I didn't want to burden the other leagues with too much extra stuff.
House rules anyone?

Pretty much alll of that BBmags stuff is golden and converts pretty well. For things like bioniks (which have a penalty roll) just treat them as being sent off as per old secret weapon rules since thats the way they are balanced both power and cost wise.
I still remember a few all halfling games with brown and sticky halflings very fondly.
