Like the site, but there is so much to take in here, and it is hard to work out where to start. I take it that there is no way of purging old threads? At least the ones that have been around for a couple of years?

Each time you log in you can check the 'View posts since last visit' to see which threads are lively and current.

As for the rest, don't try and take it all in at once. With a careful use of the Search Function you can find a lot of very useful historic posts.

Take your time and enjoy the wealth of info on the forums.

I take it that there is no way of purging old threads?

There is (though it's slow, as it's done manually), but I (and the other Mods) don't see the need to lock them, let alone delete them.

And besides, us oldsters forget what we said last month. Have to keep those posts so we can keep our arguements consistent.
