Hi from Newbie in the Uk
I thought the follow up to that last comment was "and don't call me surely"
Well 0100 am and round 1 complete 2-1 defeat against Orcs. Scored in the last turn of the game. Happy days.

Hi from Newbie in the Uk
Hi all have nearly painted the dwarf team and am now thinking what team to look. What are the views of using plastic players with the 3rd edition Marauders?

Are you talking Marauders as in the fluff team? Cuz the plastic human figures would be perfect to represent the Marauders, particularly with some minor converting to make them less samey/static.

Hi from Newbie in the Uk
Have managed to source the following Marauders
2 throwers
4 catchers
4 blitzers (have 1 spare soon to eBay)
10 lineman
Morg
Griff
Thrug
Am playing humans on the cyanide game and seem to be doing ok, thought might try luck on the mini field as well.

@DA, who or what is Thrug? Assume it's not Thrud. Maybe Zug?

Zug I was trying to work and text at the same time doh. That's the team in the hyperlink, not sure what to do for a colour scheme. Was thinking blue armour with yellow cloth. Not sure can anyone reccomend any decent marauder team pictures. Personally don't like the yellow and black

Yep, that's the 3rd edition human team. You can get clearer pics with a google - for example, tritex has some good ones. http://tritex-games.co.uk/store/category.php?id=410
As for colour scheme, go nuts! I like to plan out colours that will contrast with my other teams. Maybe give them a name and see what that inspires you to do. For example, the "Foulmouth Smugglers" might have red and white striped helmets and trousers, a parrot and/or an eyepatch on your ogre/zug, a wooden leg on a lineman... enjoy yourself!

Ha! Those are cool.
Here's your blue and yellow (4th edition humans):

How about something green based?

Or red?

Or perhaps something a little more... Um... exotic?
