Collecting Blood Bowl

Post by EmperorNorton »

I never saw Blood Bowl as a collectible game before I came across this site. Obviously I was wrong as I have seen lots of players tracking down specific figs and probably paying big sums of money for them.
Which figs are rare and why? How can I tell?

Recently I bought a booster pack of halflings off of ebay and noticed there were four of 'em in there, not three like in the ones I see at the store. Does that make them rare in any way?

The perhaps easiest way would be to make pictures and show them on Talk Bloodbowl. Here you can ask if player know about them.

It's not about my halflings alone, but I want to understand the concept of collecting Blood Bowl.

Well, of course I'd like to know if I'd be struck by lightning if I took them little fellas out of their booster and started to mess up the paint job...

Extra figures in blisters aren't really seen as too colictable by anyone I know. Most of the collectible minatures will be from 2nd editon ar some of the special pieces that didn't have very many made.

Check out
blood-bowl.net
and
travelers site, I always forget the address but its on his www button and he isn't to hard to find around here.

When 3rd edition came out Halflings were sold four in a blister for 5 pounds

Nowadays they are 2 pounds each :(

You just got an old Blister that's all.

Packing does not make figures very valuable to most people on this site, I think.
It's mainly that of some figures less were made than of other figures. That makes them rare and thus valuable.
