ok, im kinda new aint played tournies, but i play fumbbl, and as u gain skills it shows on your roster that cannot be edited by you, so u cant change the skills, but in tournies, couldent u just make up the skills your players rolled? or isit new teams and your rolls are watched by someone? im guessing so, as there would be cheating if you brought a team to a tournie stating u had rolled certain dice and played certain games when u actually hadent...
stupid question by a stupid person
but if ya could explain it to me i would be gratfull Thanks

depends on the rules for tournaments
if you read some you would get it :p
you usually start off with brand new teams and can add one skill per match

as dook says but in a little more detail:
SPPs in most decent tourneys are not used at all. Instead, every team gets 1 skill they can give to any player at the end of each match (no traits or stat increases). This means no roster checking is needed and every player has the same number of skills, so can't be cheated.
Also, it's a lot fairer especially on teams that develop slower than others and creates a balanced start point for each match. Injuries are also reset between matches.

Additionally, most tournament organizers force coaches to put the skill voice on the match report sheet, so you're not able to change all your skills to fit your opponent without getting caught.

And normally only skills can be chosen by the category the players has normal access.
So an elf player can't choose strengh skills or any stats increases.
Some tourneys allow to choose one skill as if the player has rolled doubles (normally after the 3rd round and this is a rare situation).

There are no official Valkyrie rules, so everyone plays them as 'Zons, yes.
But i'm almost sure you could check out Galak's site to access some 'house rules' for a Valkyrie roster. Check

Valks are also well reprsented by the Norse and Human rosters (they are from Norse mythology afterall).
