newbie questions again :)

Post by goonerz »

okies, i have finally started learning and am about to play the extra rules.

all is pretty much ok, but i dont understand something....

in white dwarf i see new minis like a skeleton with a chainsaw and a elf with poison blades, However in the extra rules it states that star players weild the secret weapons. so how are they applied in the game if they are not star players? i know i am missing a something in the book most likely but would appreciate the clarification :)

These will be added as experimental rules first (probably in the vault over at www.bloodbowl.com) before finally becoming official in one of the rules reviews.

If you've only just started on the extra rules in the rulebook i'd advise you to steer clear of stuff like this for the moment. In fact it won't really hurt your game if you don't use stars at all.

Have fun

sweet, np then =o)

another question though, when using GFI, is it a maximum of 2? or can some only move 1 extra square? my missus plays humans and ran rings around my orcs, her catcher is the big problem although he has low st his high MA topped with block got him through defense and into the endzone easy as pie

GFI allows you to take max of two extra squares. Each square you have to roll a die and see if you fall over or not (2+ or 3+ in blizzard)
If a player has the skill Sprint, he can go up to 3 squares extra (making 3 dice rolls!)

So your black orc blockers could go max 6 squares if they do 2 go for its. But every go for it has the risk of falling down and causing a turnover!

OK?

cheers, will just have to take her catcher out asap then :) MA 10 with GFI is not good when the best MA i have is a blitzer with 6 (8gfi)

advice, next skill on a blitzer, take Tackle to negate her dodge skill! With AV 7 the catcher will be of the pitch in no time! (Unless she knows her stategies of course!)

I wouldn't advise Going For It (GFI) all the time though, if you don't need to it's one less risk of falling over avoided.

You could always cheat and bring on 16 players. Works for me.
