New to Blood Bowl

Hi all,
I am just about to start Blood Bowl, I have been painting for about 3 years in 40K and have met some guys who are starting up a bloodbowl league and asked me to join.
I do not really care about winning, I am making a team more for the modelling opportunities, so I choose Ogres, the team suggested to me was:
5 ogres
6 goblins
2 re-rolls
2 fan factor
Does anyone have any suggestions or alterations relating to this team?
Also I was planning on making my own board from polystyrene and various modelling thigs, but I don't know the dimensions and where to put lines etc... If anyone could provide some information it would be greatly appreciated.

How many games (roughly)?
If more than 8, I'd drop the 2nd re-roll and plough it all into FF. You'll need the extra cash to replace the Goblins (and worse case scenario, the Ogres!).
Other than that, it's a good starting roster (well, as good as it gets for gres

).
Oh, and welcome to the board and to Blood Bowl.
P.S. If you search, you'll find the dimensions of the pitch and the squares posted somewhere on the board.
Pics of team/pitch are always welcomed.

.
Cheers, JaM (Flint&Steel on the B&C).

Might I sugest somthing a bit different for your first team? I know you don't care about winning but Ogres have this really nasty Nega Trait that could ruin your Blood bowl experience. They Need to roll a 2+ on a d6 for each model every time that model wants to do anything in the game. This can be a real big headache in the ling run, especially if your just learning the game.
Orcs or Humans are probably the best learning teams as they pretty much have everything covered.

Thanks for all the kind words so far. I am indeed Abstract_Incendiaries on B&C.
I have dropped a re-roll and have spent the saving on fan factor.
As to using ogres I understood they are hard to play with however, they are one of the few teams which really inspired me from a modelling point of view so I will make them as models and if they work even remotely well it will be a nice bonus, failing that I may then buy a serious team later.
Thanks fo the warm welcome and advice so far.

Welcome Abstract. The ogres are a brave choice, but as you said they are nice models. Good luck!
