I am realitively new to Blood Bowl, I am currently playing orcs. I am trying to get any info on being a better coach. Also I am looking for any info on leagues in the Chicago-land area, if anyone can help with either of these that would be great.

Read the orc playbook on this page:
http://www.specialist-games.com/bloodbowl/articles.asp
it covers the basic.

Welcome to the best game from GW.

Dunno about the Chicago Land based area.

But the World Ether based area has this great league http://fumbbl.com

Tip: Edit your post and put chicago in the subject, that will draw chicago coaches' attention. Another thing to do is to get your friends hooked.

By the way, Fumbbl is not only a great way to get some internet games, but also to improve your coaching skills. You can review your matches to see what you did wrong and what your opponent did right during those first few matches. As you play more you'll also get to review what you did right ;)

And lat but not least: welcome to this great game and this forum.

It's not the sea level, it's living too close to Belgium. Still, could be worse, I could be living too close to Wales :P

Funny you should say that... turns out there's a sharp rise in whales (dead and alive) that are washing ashore on the Dutch coasts.. (anything to get away from Britain I guess)

speaking of heineken, someone should really tell them stop making Murphy's Red. blech. I bought a 6 of it and THEN saw it was made by heineken... I'll stick to the stout made by the Irish, thanks. :)

clockwork, definitely check out fumbbl. it's a great way to get a game anytime you're looking for one, and exposes you to many different teams/coaches/playing styles. You'll learn a lot, even if it's via losing a lot of games. And most people on fumbbl are very cool. Just avoid the chaos coaches who want to play you when they have 30+ TR more than you :P try not to be cherrypicked ;)

welcome to the boards!

Chicago land?

That's a big area. West of Chi Town? How far from Rock Island and Moline are you?
