Hello Everyone

I joined the NAF earlier this week (well, at least I think I did; see the following problem) and ran into a bit of a snag. I signed up and got a user name and payed the 10$ to join. When they sent me my name and password so I could verify my account. The password they sent me did not work so I tried to get a new one. I filled out the form and it sent me a confirmation code, but when I would enter the confirmation code to get a new password, it would just send me the same confirmation code over and over. I tried to contact someone via the in-site contact system but no one has replied to me.

I am not mad by any means as I understand this happens, but I was wondering if anyone on here knows someone that could help me. Thank you for your time and help.

I too am having similar troubles joining, I have paid, been sent my password, but no activation code.

90% of the time when this happens, its due to the auto generated email getting caught as spam. If you have checked that and still having trouble PM. Note - It appears some ISPs delay that activation code by up to 72 hours. Its sent straight away from the NAF site, but for some reason, some get the code in 5 seconds, some 3 days.... I cant explain that one.

I seem to be dumber than a Hobgoblin, as I can't find any link on the NAF site that will allow me to join/register. Maybe this is just part of the ongoing issues with the site, but please let me know if I'm looking in the wrong place or something.

The site was just upgraded, and they are having problems with a few areas, including new memberships. Look at the announcements forum for an update. Should be resolved early next week from the last post.

Not sure that you can see the announcements forum though. There is an issue with logouts, so I can't logout and see if non-members can see that forum (I think they can though).

As Cramy says we have just done an upgrade to the core software. We have just very briefly disabled sign ups while we make sure everything is working.

Aspie, I got your PM. I can sort that out no problem. Gimme a day or so and that will be ok.
