Hey, cheers for approving the account! I got into the game with third edition in the early nineties and randomly found it in the loft again last month. Since then I've been playing a ton and scouring the net for info, using the living rulebook etc, I don't know what's come over me- I even bought a new team (High Elves) and am actually thinking about painting some of the models one of these days (I had never been into that side of the 'GW hobby' back in the day). It's kind of funny for me to be looking at team sheets I wrote when i was 12, and having more fun with the game than ever. But it really is such a great game, up there with any of the other board games I play. The living rulebook seems to do a good job of balancing and evening out some of the kinks that I had noticed back in the day, the only thing that seems a bit odd to me is the 'star players as inducements' thing, where they cost twice as much to field for one game as they used to cost you to keep them forever... Not that it hurts the gameplay at all, I'm just having a hard time imagining the David Beckhams of the world only turning up to play for underdogs and not being allowed to take part in the FA Cup final! Anyway I don't know if I'll actually post here too much or how long this unexpected new Blood Bowl phase I'm having will last, but I'll definitely lurk and absorb some of the discussion.

And used David Beckham in an argument.

But seriously, welcome back to the hobby.

Check out the tournie details for stuff local to you or get online if you want to expand your BB horizons.
