Where are the rules??

Post by dancing_rudolf »

Hi Guys,

I´ve got a short question. One week ago my brother gave me his blood-bowl-edition. But its the edition of 1988!! Now my question: the new Rules are better than these old Rules. Where can I get newer Rules? Can I download them anywhere??

THX for help :)

The offical rules can be found at http://www.games-workshop.com/Warhammer ... bbok_a.htm

These are the current rules, but I think there will be some new ones that will be released in November (correct me if i´m wrong)

Also you should be aware that the size of the board has changed with each version of the game so far. Sp you may have to adjust the rules a bit to better suit the 1988 board.

Ok, THX for your help. Very nice

Only a short question because of the boardsize. Do you know how much the size changed in fields or cm?

THX again :)

The endzones are now only 1 square deep, and all the squares on the field have been slightly enlarged (should be exactly an inch in the newer version). Only real problem is the passing range ruler, for it's identical in the two versions, but I think initially this can be overlooked.

I don't have the board here but I'll measure the full lenght and wideness of the board, just remember that it is 26 per 15 squares, one of them is the end zone in each end of the board. Lenghtwise I have to say the board has one central area, 7 squares wide, and two wide areas with 4 squares wide each.

I've built several grass BloodBowl fields, its quite easy and the results are great, if you use static grass your minis will never be chipped because static grass dampens the mini's fall. (Trust me they will tople over eventually!). Use a black felt marker to dot the ends of the squares. And keep that second edition field safe because they are rare noadays. It's the grey-polyestirene one right?

Like it matters. As long as both sides of the board measure the same, you and your opponent have the same opportunities.
