I got a spam PM, from some spambot named gensurik. Its a link to a verified fraud page. Kill him.

i got an email saying i had a new pm - but when i logged on to check it there wasn't one - is that because it was a spam and the user got deleted?? - i clicked on the link in the notification email - not in any pm - am i fine or has my account been hacked??

You should be ok as long as you didn't open the PM. He may have been deleted as a user. I sent a PM to Darkson this morning about gensurik.

Gensurik was deleted by me. I just did not get the oppotunity to post that here until now. Sorry for that. So yes, it's possible that you did not find the pm that you were emailed about.
Any other spam pm'ers, please report them here and the will be dealt with.

don't think so bjorn, I expect those are the spider bots that the search engines use to index pages.

Exacty. Those are standard users delivered with phpBB for search engine access.
