Hello there

I'm new to bloodbowl and playing in a local league, so far I've lost to norse, chaos pact and Slaan.

My next game I'm playing against a lizardman team who has kroxigor, a skink with leap and a skink with block....

My Orc team has 4 blitzers, 4 black orcs, a newly bought troll, a gobbo, 2 throwers and a linemen.

One of my black orcs has mighty blow and a blitzers has movement 7, any advice for winning or even drawing lol

How many Saurii does he have..?

basically you have to spend the first few turns using your blitzers to hunt Skinks and use your Strength advantage on his ball carriers to stunt their growth even further.

the troll and the Black Orcs should keep the Krox + Saurii busy to allow you to do this.

Try and force the dodges where you can and keep a player or two deep in a bid to blitz or tie up anyone that squirts through your line.

use a Ziggurat Defense or maybe a Volcano see (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29010)

that way you are forcing the skins to work very hard whilst keeping a deep second row to catch them.

Hit as many Skinks with your Blitzers as you can like voyagers said.

Get rid of them and he can't pick the ball up and be thankful I'm not playing in the league this year ;]

Nice to know there are some new faces playing since I left.

In a way it is nice to be new to bloodbowl and face Chaos Pact and Slaan in some of you first games, those races still seem to od to some veterans who are unused to seeing them on the field. You will develop more as a coach by facing them all in your first experiences

6 saurus but one is MNG, 7 skink and kroxigor but I believe he plays all tha saurus he can, it's the two skinks that have extra skills that are my main worry, leap and the other has block.

I was thinking of playing 4 Black orcs, 4 Blitzers, 1 Troll, 1 Thrower and Gobbo, what do you think?

Hey B-C, until you have the majority of his skinks off the field leave the gobbo on the sidelines, he will be outmatched in every way.

Stop getting all panicky about AG3 leaps and a ST 2 guy with Block... they will go squish too...

Agreed

And if you get the ball first, grind down the field for a turn 8 score. Hopefully you will have removed enough skinks to make the 2nd half easy.

Mark the saurii up and then have fun killing skinks!
