Is the undead team overpowered?

Just recently our league is running into a problem.
THe undead team that started with 2 st5 players is becoming unstoppable in terms of injuries.
In their last two games (against chaos and wood elf) they have left one player on the pitch by the end of both games.
During the game against my wood elf team they were helped by the following:
1 My treeman took root. By the second half when he returned, i only had 4 players remaining.
2 He "got the ref" in the first turn of the first half
3 He had a "dirty player"
End result : 5 badly hurt, 2 serious injuries, one knockout.
I started the game with only 9.
On a plus side, it was a three all draw! My catcher, the last wood elf on the pitch, scored in the last turn to tie the game.
Thank christ for that at least, but in the future i dont expect to be so lucky.
The problem is that the undead team (helped by a st 6 mummy) is going to continue to wreck teams in the league.
I am planning on joining the league with another team of lizardmen called the bone chewers, who only target that undead team, but i have a suspicion that i would get worked over.

Not at all, my skaven have suffered 36 cas in 15 games now and thats against all sorts of teams. I've not counted the numer of ko's and stuns. Some games you get lucky with the rolls others you don't. Having played undead for years, ive gone whole matches without getting a single cas, happened a couple of times at the spikey tournament.

Mummies hurt. A lot! But they are reeeaaallly slow, so the best way to deal with them is to stay away (far away!).

It is difficult to stay away from two mummies simultaneously, in addition they dont have any of the drawbacks such as take root or wild animal.
Finally, they have regenerate, as do everyone on their team except ghouls.
They seem to end up, after a few games having 4-5 rerolls, ff 12-13, and 13 players, since not many of them die and zombies/ skeletons cost fa and come back when you finally do kill them......i am bitter

Very true, but at least if you aren't standing beside them they can only blitz you once per turn (and that's if the blitz is worth taking).

it is kind of difficult to win a game without ever going near the opponent, not counting the fact that it is against the rules to not have at least three on the line of scrimmage, which is surprisingly, where the mummies are

Hi Guys
My Goblin team beat an Undead team that had 2 Mummies. I took Fungus da Loon for 30,000 gp as a Freebooter and once the Undead coach saw what he could do it was funny.
At one point after being knocked down by Fungus, a Mummy stood up and ran away from Fungus using 2 Go Fo Its. That took the Mummy out of the play for at least 2 turns because he had to turn around and come back to my other players after that.
Also Fungus went on to pound a corner of his cage before he was sent off.

Never found the Undead team to be not balanced, as others have said the best thing to do to the mummies is stay away from them! (Dodge helps here)
You don't have to go far if you want to slow them down, just 1 square will force them to use a blitz if they want to block you.
Remember the rest of the undead team is mainly weak, so pressure the skeletons and zombies and target the ghouls where you can, if you pile on enough pressure at the weak points you'll use up the re-rolls and start to cause turnovers.
The line of scrimmage can be tough but most players are able to get 2 dice blocks here on offence anyway so it shouldn't be much worse than playing any other team.
Finally Dirty Player can be nasty but in most games if you don't foul back then the I've Got My Eye On You (IGMEOY) rule will stop this getting out of hand. Get the Ref was unlucky, and in my opinion a little bit broken with IGMEOY, but it won't happen every game.

Yep just stay away from the mummies. The main weakness of the undead is that the have NO ball handling. passing catching and picking up is a problem for them. So stay away from the mummies as much as you can!!!! and lett them use there blitz actions

I agree. The Undead team is best choice. In our league the undead are best team, though they are not championship leader in the moment. But they will be, it´s only a question of time. He has won the first season as well.
The problem is, that they unite strength and agility, unless our Undead team has this guy:
Sarg N' Argel
Ghoul
7
3
5
7
dodge, block
and another one:
Apokalypse
wight
6
3
4
8
Block, Regeneration, accurate, dodge
He didn´t give him pass, cause of the 4 rerolls he has.
In first season he allways played the same way:
Picking up the ball, surrounding the guy having the ball, building a cage and then slowly move to the opposites endzone by blocking all, that crosses his way. He waited to score, until the half ended.
Most of his games ended 2:1. I had the luck to make a draw by forcing him to make his touchdown earlier by herass his man with the ball. Also I got huge number of players to his isolated mummy and fouled as often I could. At the end, the mummy got k.o.´d.
In this season he experiments with that throwing / catching combo.
You try to block the guy with the ball (nearly allways this f.....g wight)? No problem. Then I play the throw and catch game.

that sounds pretty familiar, the one in our league has two ghouls with block and dodge, a st6 mummy and the other mummy has piling on, both mummies have block.
It has only played 5 games so far!!
Imagine what it will look like in a season!

THats funny, real funny
I have no problem with overpowered teams or large numbers of casualties, and if you are impugning my desire to see bloodshed then take it back. Or read my other posts.
The only problem i have is when one team has the ability to deal out casualties at a substantially higher rate than other teams while still retaining the ability to regenerate any it suffers and replace its linemen for 30k.
You may find it fair, that is why i named the thread :
is the undead team overpowered
?
not: The undead team IS overpowered.
I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing similar issues intheir league. IF you arent, a simple no, they arent overpowered would have done, no need to comment on my gender.
For the record, i am not a girl, though i often wish i was when my girlfriend is spending my money

Stop being a pu55y and hit him back. They won't regenerate all the time.
Or if you insist on playing with the mincing elves, run away - as they always do.
