So this is a stupid question...

...but it just never came up before. Does Diving Catch work if the player attempting to catch the pass fails to do so? The wording on the skill is a bit vague. On page 33 of the Blood Bowl Handbook it says: 'The player may use this skill if the ball was thrown to him and missed. It allows the player to move one square after the ball has scattered.' Does that mean scattered after an inaccurate pass, after being miscaught, or both? Thanks for helping to clear this up! It's too late to help in the game that it would've mattered in (we decided that my player couldn't use the skill, just to keep playing), but I appreciate the help for future games.

its after an inaccurate pass or a hail mary scatter, he can then move one square and then attempt to catch it if he gets to the square the ball is heading to

You can't use Diving Catch after a catch attempt has been made.
