Would anyone mind this newbie using the following team

Im just about to start playing BB after a few years playing 40k and luckly I had an old German edition of Mordheim lying around (which I never intend to use). Ive altered the Skaven army from there into what I feel look like good players, and wondered if people would be happy playing against the following:
Throwers: Skaven with open hand and sling with big ball in it (thought this would look as though this is how they throw well)
Lineman: empty handed skaven
Gutter Runner: Skaven with spikes on there hand (this is what they use in WH I belive and the models look quite kool with them, kinda shows a sly means about them)
Stormvermin: Again emtpy handed but ive added a shield to them (to kinda seperate them and in a way this shows how they block better tham others).
So, would this be ok with all you long standing players?

That seems perfectly OK to me, converted teams are nice. Putting shields on the storm vermins seems a bit overkill though, why not just paint them with black fur, or just use the two most agressive ones?

Fair point, I may alter them to having capes then, to make them stand out.

All sounds pretty cool to me. Just make sure your opponent is well aware of what is what; the current gutter runners have capes so make it clear that the caped chaps are storm vermin. Wouldn't want any confusion now

Customs minis are great for BB
as long as you can see differences between positionnal players, then it is perfect.
enjoy yourself with it

Thakyou
This is just what I wanted to hear, now all I need are some round bases and there complete. They all look different so it easy very easy to seperate which one is which. Now, time to play ball!

One option for distinguishing the different positions for converted minis is to colour code the bases.
For example, my Dwarf team:
Runners - Green
Blitzers - Red
Longbeards - Blue
Trollslayers - Yellow
It helps both players determine the minis position at a glance (and it also means you don't have to go to extreme lengths to make them look different...

)
Converting minis is great fun, and it gives your team a distinctive appearance - but it can be time consuming (and a little frustrating at times

)
For my Dwarf team, I opted for very simple mods to distinguish the positions:
I started with a regiment of old plastic Dwarf infantry:
For the runners, I cut off the hand holding the axe, and replaced it with a hand holding a ball from the Orc Thrower (from the BB boxed set) I also attached a small spike to the top of each Runner's helmet.
For the Longbeards, I only cut the axes out of their hands and left the shields off all the minis.
For the Blitzers, I took two Ironbreakers and removed their weapons (they make awesome Blitzers)
Trollslayers got the same treatment - just removed their axes (except for the one, I cut off both his hands and replaced them with a Black Orc Blocker's fists, knuckledusters and all)
Fast, easy - and makes for a nice looking team.
Have a bash at simple conversions, the complicated stuff can always come later...
Good luck with your team

Just an update, I use my team for my first game the other day and managed to win 2-1 to Orcs. Admitidly, the guy I played did give me some good advice during the match, but it just showed me how fast Skaven are, and the models got some attention too for there looks
