Scoring!
This is obviously the n00biest question of all. I've played about 4 games since i've started playing BB and I just can't seem to get over my opponents touchline. most of the time I can't even break into his half. Then when its his turn he turns around and in a couple of turns has taken the ball and scored while my players are left crippled on the floor. Any help would be appreiciated. I have a human team if there is any team specific information.

How exposed is the ball carrier?
A standard tactic is "The Cage"
X= your player
B = ball carrier
Ensure that at the end of your turn none of them are in contact with his players, and your ball carrier cannot get hit.
If you do pass the ball into dangerous territory (e.g. a catch a few squares into his half) ensure that the player you are passing to has not moved yet, so they can rush downfield and either score, or be so far away from any opponents he can't catch you.

He does inform us, that he's using humies, but knowing whose trashed his humieass would be helpfull. Most likely a sterngth team.
I've just started with a norse team with my girlffriend using my dwarfteam and have allready discovered the value of staying clear of those bearded demons on pitch. Last weekend we played a half while waiting a tv show to start and I quickly scored a TD by creating a gap in her line and then run through with couple of cathers and a lineman, then pass the ball via the gap to a catcher, but during the dwarf offensive was losing players by the minute. Managed to stop the offfensive but had three players in D&I and couple KOs. Lesson is this story: Try to vcreate a gap and exploid it.

I'd argue that rule ... it's true for expensive, low AV players, however, tieing the opponent up can be a very good and annoying tactic ...DwarfFanatic wrote:Rule #1 of Blood Bowl Tactics: Never leave any of your Players in Oppposing tackle zone if you dont have to!

Dwaffanatics rule #1:
As a fellow dwarcoahces I disagree with that one. Starting to dodge with my longbeards is something that send serious of laughter around gaming halls. Just like in my last tournies I went for a long bomb from my runner. Did manage to get the ball near the target.
If I play a fast team with dodgers, there is much reason to place my tackle-skilled lb's next to his players. There have been several times when he fails his first Dodge and must use a re-roll or suffer a TO.
My dwarves can take the presure if opponent comes at them but opponents rarely can stand the pressure of my Gutbusters geting homicidal.

I don't agree with this, putting players in the opposing team's tackle zones can be useful. It's also fun putting a human blitzer with Block, Dodge and Stand Firm (like mine) in their tackle zones and watching them try and knock him down. ('tis a little risky though)DwarfFanatic wrote: Rule #1 of Blood Bowl Tactics: Never leave any of your Players in Oppposing tackle zone if you dont have to!

Undead rule #1 is always cover your man. Overload on tackle and make every move a dodge or at best a followup against a player with Regen.
