Ball Basics but still need to ask

Hi Guys,
I did a search and couldn't find an exact answer to my question nor do I see it in the rules (Please let me know the page in LRB if you know).

Ok, when a ball carrier is pushed back and knocked over it causes a the ball to scatter (turnover). Does the ball A) Scatter from the square the player is pushed back and knocked over in or B) scatter from the square he originally occupied before the push back.

The reason I ask is because it makes a difference when the player is on the sidelines. A dispute came up when the ball carrier was pushed out-of-bounds. We always played as Option A above so the ball would have been pushed out with the player and subject to a throw-in but I couldn't find it to firmly settle the debate. Please assist and thanks.

PS: on a side note, when using leap it is a base agility roll for the landing right, no -1 per enemy TZ?

First of all it is not a turnover if the player being knocked down is not from the moving team.
When rolling defender knocked down, the defender is first pushed back and then knocked over (LRB page 11).
Therefore the ball scatters from the square the player is pushed back to and if the player is pushed out of bounds he takes the ball with him resulting in the crowd throwing it back.

A leaping player makes an unmodified agilityroll meaning no -1 per tacklezone.
No modifiers apply to this dice roll at all.
(LRB page 35)

I had the same problem resently, infact i have been playing that the ball is droped from the starting square for years but i supose thats the problem when you only play against the people you learned with. Like they say, you learn something new every day.
How does strip ball work then, does the player drop the ball from where he starts or where he ends? just thought i better ask in light of ball scatter following a block.

The same square as if you knocked him down.
You have to push someone back in order for strip ball to work, so first the push, then the strib.

Thank, may seem a bit idiotic but sometimes the most basic details can make all the difference to a game. They also stop you looking like a christmas turkey when you play other people :P .
still, makes sense when you think about it.....

Actually the LRB is not very clear on this, I must admit. It does not say where the ball scatters from. However, it seems very logical that the place where the player hits the ground is also the place where he looses control over the ball!
This is the same with strip ball. The ball will be lost from the place the player has been pushed to. Note that the skill also works even if the player holding the ball was not pushed back because he has stand firm. It is the Pushback result on the dice that counts!
And slup is very correct about the leap. No modifiers.
If you have more question about the rules, please go to the rules section. A lot of experienced players look there all the time and will give you a swift answer!
