Krukur Clash - Blood Bowl 7s tournament (Non-NAF) at Crookes Social Club, Sheffield, UK on Saturday 29 June 2024

(Please note am posting on behalf of the TO as they could not sign up to TFF - they can be contacted directly at crookescrosspooltabletopgaming@gmail.com)

Following on the success of our previous Blood Bowl 7s tournaments, Crookes & Crosspool Tabletop Gaming are pleased to host 'THE KRKUR KLASH (SUMMER 2024)', another Blood Bowl 7s tournament at their 'home ground', Crookes Social Club, Mulehouse Road, Sheffield.
Entry is £10 per person (plus a small fee to Eventbrite) for a full day's gaming, which includes a FREE £5 voucher* to spend at one of Sheffield's premier gaming stores, The Outpost.
*please note that your address will be sent on to The Outpost, who'll then send you a £5 voucher via email.

If you'd like to attend, please visit the following Eventbrite link, where you can buy your ticket for the tournament (please note that Eventbrite charge a small processing fee, in addition to the £10 entry): https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-krkur- ... HkaPWepvHQ

There is plenty of parking availability at the club, both in the car park and on the streets immediately next to it. The club is also a 5-minute walk from the 52/52a bud stop.

WHAT DO ATTENDEES NEED TO BRING?
- A valid Blood Bowl 7s team (please see criteria noted later on)
- A roster sheet to show your opponent (both paper copies and digital copies are ok)
- Dice
- Ball counter
- Measuring sticks, etc.
There's no need to bring a 7s pitch - the club has more than enough to accommodate everyone!
Prizes include:
1st place - Large trophy, plus an official BB pitch, boxed official BB team, a set of official BB dice AND an unofficial token set (courtesy of Art of War Studios)
2nd place - Medium trophy, plus a boxed official BB team, a set of official BB dice AND an unofficial token set (courtesy of Art of War Studios)
3rd place - Small trophy, plus a set of official BB dice AND unofficial token set (courtesy of Art of War Studios)
4th place - 3D-printed 'big character' (courtesy of Thulean Art) and Unofficial token set (courtesy of Art of War Studios)
If we can sell 30+ tickets, prizes will be available for 5th and 6th places, too.
Last place - wooden spoon (literally, a wooden spoon), plus a 3D-printed 'big character' (courtesy of Thulean).
Best painted - small trophy, plus a prize (TBC).
PLUS, we'll be holding a raffle (three draws, max 1 win per player) to win some great prizes (TBC). Entry tor the raffle is £1 a ticket.
PLUS, there'll be a few spot prizes on the day, too!

TOURNAMENT RESTRICTIONS/RULES:
- 600,000pts allowed for a team, with injured players/casualties recovering for the next game
- the team MUST be an official GW or League of Legends team (see the latest errata for the list of permitted teams).
- Proxies or 3D-printed miniatures may be used
- Same team to be used throughout the tournament. Any inducements bought CANNOT be changed between games (I.e inducements are bought BEFORE the start of the tournament, and cannot be changed throughout the tournament). The only exception to this rule is the use of 'desperate measures', which is clarified in this list (I.e. it's bought BEFORE the start of the tournament, but the actual 'measure' is rolled for each game).
- SKILLS PACKAGE: This tournament operates a 'skills package', using the same 'tier' system as that used in the latest official BB FAQ/errata; for the purpose of this tournament, this simply means that:
(1) ONE primary ability can be assigned to ONE player of a Tier 1 team, and
(2) TWO primary abilities (or ONE primary ability and ONE secondary ability) can be assigned to TWO players of a Tier 2 team (i.e. each of the two players receives ONE skill each) , and
(3) FOUR primary abilities (or TWO primary abilities AND TWO secondary abilities) can be assigned to FOUR players of a Tier 3 team (i.e. each of the four players receives ONE skill each).
The above 'skill' abilities are assigned to teams BEFORE the first round of the tournament and CANNOT be changed throughout the tournament.
- With reference to the 'skills package' above, restrictions are placed on the following primary skills:
(1) The 'leader' skill is not allowed to be taken
(2) The 'pro' skill is not allowed to be taken
(3) If a 'desperate measure' is taken as an inducement, it's rolled for at the start of each game.
(4) A maximum of ONE 'desperate measure' may be purchased per team.
- No star players may be purchased.
- TIER 3 POSITIONAL PLAYERS: there are NO restrictions on the number of positional players that may be taken (i.e. the usual cap of 4 non-linesmen per team does NOT apply to Tier 3 teams in this tournament).
- Tournament scoring: 2pts for a win, 1pt for a draw, 0pts for a loss. Bonus points will also be awarded for scoring 2+ touchdowns, inflicting 2+ casualties*. In the event of tied scoring, touchdown differences, touchdown totals, and total casualties inflicted will be used to help determine coaches' positions.
* a 'casualty' is inflicted, where:
- it would normally result in SPP being awarded
- the victim becomes a casualty as a result of being pushed into the crowd
- the victim becomes a casualty as a result of being fouled

1h 30m allowed per game (4 games total).

Arrive/register: 9.45am
Game 1 Kick off: 10.30am
Break for lunch at 12pm; 'best painted' entries are judged (with winner announced at end)
Game 2 Kick off: 1pm
Game 3 Kick off: 2.45pm
Game 4 Kick off: 4.30pm (finishes at 6pm)
Tournament rankings (including 'best painted') announced just before 6.30pm
2020 edition of rules in use, with latest FAQ and the 7s rules from the 2020/21 Death Zone supplement (NOT the NAF supplement) also applying. If you're unsure what the latest 7s rules are, please send an email to crookescrosspooltabletopgaming@gmail.com and I'll fill you in.

This is a self-policing tournament; any issues should be resolved between coaches or, if necessary, ruled on by a third player.
In the case of odd numbers, a 'bye' will be applied (first at random, then randomly to one the lowest scoring coaches in the bottom six at the start of each round). A 'bye' will count as a 2-0 win (i.e. 2pts + 1 Bpt).
Above all, this is meant to be a fun and light-hearted tournament and should not be taken too seriously (though, of course, there are some top prizes to be won!)
Please note that all profits from this event will be donated to Ecclesall Ranger Football Club (specifically, the Under 13s team for next season).

Anyone (and all the bots I keep deleting) can sign up to TFF. There's no activation needed.
