Introduction
Welcome to our SIXTH Dunbar Sevens tournament - returning to ice bound waste land of Dunbar!

Format
A one-day tournament of FOUR matches on Saturday 15th February 2025, held in the Belhaven Church Hall (LHS of church), DUNBAR.
0915 – 0945 Registration
0945 – 1100 Round 1
1115 – 1230 Round 2
1230 – 1330 Lunch & best team vote
1330 – 1445 Round 3
1500 – 1615 Round 4
1630 – 1700 Awards and Chat
Tournament Details
- 2020 ruleset, DeathZone Blood Bowl Sevens rules & Teams of Legend PDF.
- Round 1 paired randomly, subsequent rounds will be paired in a Swiss Format.
- A resurrection tournament: All teams reset after every game, all injured or dead players are healed.
- 24 coaches max.
- Matches have a 1 hour 15 minute time limit with 30 & 15 time warnings. Once the maximum time limit has been reached, coaches are given an extra 5 minutes to finish the kicking team’s turn and then the game must end.
- Scoring is simple: win 3/draw 1/lose 0.
- Tied teams are separated on Strength of Schedule, then total combined TD and CAS difference. Casualties only count if they would yield SPP. Crowd surfs, thrown rocks, fouls and chainsaws, etc. do not count.
Roster building
Coaches can select any NAF approved team, spending up to 600,000GP in Team Value, with the following additional restrictions:
- A Team can have a maximum of 0-4 non-lineman players in total.
- A Team must have at least 7 players, and no more than 11 on its roster.
- Rerolls cost double their normal price.
- We’re using the Death Zone 7s Inducements, which must be purchased during team creation and count towards the Team’s total value, with the following restrictions:
- Star Players cannot be taken, except by stunty (tier 3) teams who can select ONE star player and do not count towards the 7-player team minimum. Megastars may not be taken (see the GW FAQ for the current list).
- Teams with the ‘Low-Cost Linemen’ rule may purchase a Rowdy Rookies inducement for a cost of 50,000GP, which works as Riotous Rookies, but with a reduced effect of 1D3+1 (this is 7s!)
- No Special Play cards or mercenaries.
- No Desperate Measures.
SKILLS
Sevens teams are notoriously poor. However, one (or more) of your team is a RINGER!
The following Tiers (see below for lists) get:
- Tier 1 - 1 Primary
- Tier 2 - 2 Primary
- Tier 3 - 2 Primary, 1 Secondary
No Leader skill may be chosen.
Tier 1: Skaven, Underworld, Amazon, High Elves, OWA, Chorfs, Wood Elves, Norse, Dark Elves, Humans, Elves, Lizardmen
Tier 2: Pact, Khorne, Slann, Orc, Chaos, Black Orcs, Khemri, Dwarves, Nobility, Undead, Nurgle, Necro, Vampires
Tier 3: Snotlings, Ogre, Halflings, Goblins, Gnomes
Entering the Competition
This is a NAF sanctioned tournament (pending), coaches must be NAF members. Check the NAF website for further details.
Tournament tickets are £8. To enter, use PayPal and send your money to tomtremendous@gmail.com, ensuring you select 'Friends and Family'.

What to bring?
- A team that is clearly marked / identifiable player types. Teams do not have to be painted but look better if they are.
- Printed team roster.
- Dice and tokens.
- 7’s Pitch & dug out (if you’ve got one).
- Rule Book & Deathzone (if you have one!)
- Lunch/drinks – While there is a small kitchen at the venue, and a small shop nearby, it’s recommended you bring food & drink with you.
Special Tournament Rules!

Brass, Monkeys, and balls spring to mind. Employ the following weather table:
Playing on a pitch carved out of ice brings challenges, apply the following Ice Rink Pitch Rules:
- Falling Over – Whenever a player Falls Over or is Knocked Down, the coach of the opposing team must apply a +1 modifier to Armour Rolls. This stacks with Mighty Blow/Chainsaw/Bombs.
- Rushing – Whenever a player attempts to Rush/Go For It - consult the following table:
Questions we planned for!
- If the Rushing player slides into an occupied square, the occupying player is Pushed (as per a Chain Push) and both players are Placed Prone.
- If the Rushing player slides into an occupied square and the occupying player has Stand Firm (and chooses to use it) then they are NOT pushed back, and the sliding player does NOT slide an additional square, however both players are still Placed Prone.
- If the slide would send the Rushing player into the crowd, then into the crowd they go!
- If the Rushing player is in possession of the ball and Rushes into the End Zone but rolls a 6 and thus slides off the end of the pitch, then they DO count as scoring a touchdown! However, they won’t get to celebrate much as the emotional fans will descend on them and beat them up as normal!
Trophies and Awards
The following prizes will be available on the day:
- Winner - Trophy awarded for the most points earned throughout the day.
- Most Touchdowns - Team with the most TD scored
- Most Casualties - Team with the most CAS scored
- Chocolate Armour - Team with the most INJ received
- Stunty Cup - Best placed stunty team
- Wooden Spoon - Last placed team
- The Best Team - What painting/modeling has impressed the most?
