The final update

Again thank you to those who have emailed me your rosters, and also letting me know if interested in the food being offered for sale by the local Littleport Scouts.

Food wise there is definitely enough interest. The majority of responses were burgers and pulled pork, so this is what we have suggested (Sorry hot dog lovers).

See below the prizes kindly donated by the City Cycle Centre in Ely, alongside some of the goodie bags kindly created and provided by Serious Swag that every participant will receive :o

We still have 2 spaces available due to drop outs. So why don't you sign up and come along to what is looking to be one of the biggest 1 day events in the South East :D

Evening all.

The time is nearly upon us.

Unfortunately due to some drop outs we are down to 29 players.

Out of those 29 I have had 27 rosters all checked and confirmed. I have tried to contact the two players who have not submitted (Gastonite & Monobi) through NAF website and Paypal from the payment, but they have not responded. They don't appear to be on TFF or the South East Discord. If anyone knows either of these players can you please nudge them to submit their roster.

I was reluctant to release race breakdowns with two rosters outstanding, however, players have urged me to release anyway. Checking NAF records for the 2 players yet to submit, neither have played in a NAF tournament so I am not concerned with potential roster tailoring.

So please see the race breakdown below:

Out of the 27 rosters:

4 have taken The Black Dog of Littleport (Woof Woof)

If we are odd on the day, the Littleport & Ely club have created me a lovely Chaos Renegade roster 'Big Guys roll 1s'. No black dog but it does have a Renegade Skaven with Claws :o :-?

Look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday

Thank you to everyone who came today, and also thank you for your patience with me when we had the minor pairings hiccup.

I think overall today was a massive success, as a first time TO there was a lot of learning and I already have some changes in mind to help make next Fenland Bowl even better :D

1st place - Legion_UK (Orc)
2nd place - Zenjo (Ogres)
3rd place - Strubot (Norse)
Stunty Cup - Zenjo (Ogres)
Most TD - Zenjo (Ogres) 7 TD
Most Cas - Thrakkadathurd (Goblins) 19 Cas :o
Best Painted dog star player - ikkoras
Wooden Spoon - Gastonite (Orc)

I would really appreciate any feedback on the event or suggestions for improvement. Whether it was the special rule, star player, how it was run etc. Any feedback to help us make next year even better!

Pencil in Saturday 1st November 2025 for Fenland Bowl II. Which will be part of the South East Tournament Series, more info to follow in the coming months.

I love the idea of having a special star player for just this event. I just thought the black dog was a little expensive for what he was. 75K star player OR a reroll... I think that's why there were so few brave souls taking it.

Was an excellent day and the venue seemed perfect. Having someone bring free tea/coffee to your table during the day was superb - very much appreciated!

Thank you. Yes I had some feedback that players felt the dog was a little too expensive. We will look into reworking it next year, by either giving it a cost decrease or making it a little bit stronger/more useful. Whilst wondering about looking at the tables, most black dogs were on the ground and one poor soul who blitzed with it, snaked a rush for the blitz and it killed itself

Noted regarding the drinks running, we felt it would be a nice touch, but also help keep the games running smoothly and on time :D

The Dog had its moments including surfing an unsuspecting soul and sacking the ball carrier. For Ogres, just having a mobile piece with average MA and a proper tackle zone was useful. For most teams you'd have to reduce the price to make it worthwhile. It's probably worth 60-65K. Put it at 50K and you'll have a pack of dogs running around next year.

The ruleset was kind to tier 3 teams with the skills, which is why they were so popular. The KO's after scoring a TD was fun and different. Didn't get a chance to experience the different weather results, but some of them looked a bit extreme!

Really well run event and thanks to all the volunteers with the catering also.
