Caerdydd Cup IV - 30th March 2024 - Cardiff

The Caerdydd Cup returns! Caerdydd Cup 4 is a 1-day Blood Bowl tournament which will take place in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday 30th March 2024. The tournament will be resurrection style, meaning all injuries and player deaths etc. reset after each round. The format of the tournament will be a random pairing for round one, followed by swiss style round robin for the remaining rounds. Scoring is 3-1-0 with tie breakers as SoS followed by net TD+cas.The tournament is part of the Welsh Tournament Series.

RULESET
Coaches will be given 1.2M to build their teams including all inducements from the 2020 rulebook and Deathzone with the exception of Freebooters, Mercs and Special Play Cards. Star Players may be taken but come with an additional cost of 12 SPP per star. Dribblesnot, Cindy and Kreek are 24 SPP each. Morg, Deeproot, Hakflem, Griff and Skitter are 36 SPP each. All 2020 teams plus Slann are permitted including any new releases. The star player rules will be reviewed closer to the date.
In addition players will be given the following amount of SPPs in order to skill their teams:
Tier 1 - 42 SPP
Tier 2 - 48 SPP
Tier 3 - 54 SPP
The tiers used are the tiers in the BRB + FAQ and Teams of Legend PDF. SPP allocations follow the rules for skilling up your team in the rulebook with two exceptions. No stat boosts are permitted and random skills are capped at a maximum of four. Random skills must be rolled in front of your opponent each game. Skill stacking is permitted up to a maximum of 2 per player except for random skills which are capped at one. Random skills may only be taken on rookies.
