Team England Team Challenge - MERGED with HN

Dear all

On behalf of the Captain of Team England, KFoged, and the rest of the Team England Committee, I am delighted to announce that there will be a 4-coach Team Event in Stevenage Hertfordshire in July 2024, using the Eurobowl rules, which will be finalised by that point.

The aim is for as many of Team England to be there as possible, and for you to bring your competitive races, either to prepare for Athens later in the year, or to test your skill and improve at the game, or to raise your profile with the rest of Team England. Team England members will be happy to give feedback and constructive criticism after the games have finished.

Team England Team Challenge
Format: 4-coach team event, 6 games, swiss by team, then by coach within matchups

Capacity: 60 teams (240 coaches)
Cost: £160 per team entry (£40 each)
Location: The Forum, Ibis Hotel, Stevenage, SG1 1EJ - Air conditioned which is good for July.
Food: Not included. There is a Tesco opposite and plenty of venues locally. The Conference centre are happy for you to bring food and drink in.
Rewards: excellent freebies, trophies and prizes
Parking: No parking at the venue, but lots in Stevenage town centre, £12 per weekend (including overnight)
Accommodation: none at the venue, but lots locally.
Logistics: 5 mins walk from train station. Disabled access at the back - contact PeteW using the email below
Other: Boards will be provided. The bar will be open, or you can bring anything in. The venue is open in the evening for boardgames if desired.

With the Home Nations Event so close and so similar, we have decided to merge events. Apologies to the coaches who had signed up to this event, and we hope that they will all be keen to transfer their bookings to the Home Nations Event that is two weeks earlier.

It's not on the NAF calendar! Besides, Stevenage is much nicer than Bilbao.
