Following the success of our first Blood Bowl tournament, The Festive Throwdown 2023, held just before Christmas, the Chippenham Forge Breakers would like to invite you all to attend our 2nd Blood Bowl tournament.

In the quaint old town of Pastryville, the aroma of freshly baked pies used to waft through the air, courtesy of the renowned halfling Granny Mayhem and her beloved pie shop.
However, after tragedy struck and Granny Mayhem passed away, her legacy and a delectable, slightly stale empire were left behind without an heir. This empire is now hotly contested by her feisty daughter and granddaughter – Madam Mayhem and Mademoiselle Mayhem.
The daughter and granddaughter, unable to settle their ownership dispute over Granny’s prized pie shop, eventually escalated into a full-fledged war of pies and pride. When it became clear that they could not agree on who should inherit the cherished establishment, the cunning Madam and the spirited Mademoiselle hatched a plan to settle the matter according to the well-established and long-held legal procedures according to halfling law – a Blood Bowl tournament.

What to Expect
- A welcoming and competitive 3-game NAF-approved Blood Bowl tournament in the halfling heartlands.

- Full table service provided by Bargammons... who may also cosplay as the Madame and Mademoiselle May-hem
- Generous swag bag for all attendees, awards for the top teams and raffle prizes open to all attendees.
Location: Bargammons Tavern Board Game Cafe, Kings Head House, 35 Market Place, Chippenham. SN15 3HT. The Tavern has a fully licensed bar and the entire premises will be available to tournament attendees only. Mel and the team will be providing a full at-table service for drinks throughout the day.

- The SFC (£7.40) – Breaded Southern Fried Chicken Breast, Cheddar, Hash Brown, Garlic Mayo, Salad, Brioche Bun
- The Big V (Veggie or Vegan) (£6.80) – Pea and Mint Falafel Burger, Vegan Cheese, Vegan Slaw, Salad, Vegan Mayo, Vegan Brioche Bun – Can be made Veggie with Cheddar and Mayo.
Special event rule ('Madame Mayhem')
Madam and Mademoiselle May-hem will take the field on opposing sides to see who should control the pie empire. Each coach will have the star for free in addition to their rostered team.
Madam and Mademoiselle May-hem each have the stats and skills of The Black Gobbo. A customised Star Player card will be provided to each coach.
Each coach will be given a free fully painted miniature to represent Madam or Mademoiselle May-hem in your games. Coaches will choose who represents Madame or Mademoiselle – there is no tangible difference in rules, it’s just for fun!
Tiers, skills and Inducements
Tier 1 (7 primary skills):
Dark Elves, Skaven, Dwarfs, Shambling Undead, Chaos Dwarves, Wood Elves, Amazons, Underworld Denizens, Gnomes.
Tier 2 (7 primary skills, 1 secondary):
Orcs, Humans, High Elves, Norse, Pro Elves, Lizardmen, Vampires, Necromantic Horrors, Tomb Kings.
Tier 3 (8 primary skills, 1 secondary):
Chaos Chosen, Imperial Nobility, Black Orcs, Slann, Nurgle, Khorne.
Tier 4 (8 primary skills, 2 secondary):
Old World Alliance, Chaos Renegades, Snotlings.
Tier 5 (9 primary skills, 2 secondary):
Goblins, Halflings, Ogres
1150tv then add skills.
- Star players on Tier 4 and 5 only at a cost of 1 primary and 1 secondary skill.
- Only 1 star player per team.
- The Black Gobbo has refused to attend the tournament as he is busy playing in a hotdog-related tournament in the next county.
- Skills (both primary and secondary) may be repeated.
- Skills (both primary and secondary combined) may be stacked twice. This limit applies both across individual players and a full team roster.
- Madame Mayhem will be in addition to the 16-player roster limit.
- All inducements are available.

Rosters must be finalised on TourPlay by Wednesday 22nd May – so we’ve enough time to check everything is in order.

Trophies will be awarded to:
- 1st place, best stunty & wooden spoon trophies.
- Best painted team award.
Attendees to our previous tournament, the Festive Throwdown will appreciate how we work hard to offer great swag to everyone who attends. For May-hem 2024 you'll get a fully painted miniature, 2xD6 event-specific dice, a May-hem 2024 patch, badge and a unique event-specific bottle of chilli sauce from Wiltshire Chilli Farm.. There may be some other bits we're able to squeeze in, so this list is a TBC!
T-Shirts
A new addition to May-hem 2024 is an 'on the day' custom, event-specific T-shirt printing offer... in other words, Mellie and the lovely Bargammons folk will print you an event-specific t-shirt with your NAF details on it! Order will be placed upon arrival and T-shirts printed during the day! Costs for this will be confirmed closer to the time.
Raffle
A new introduction for May-hem 2024 will be a prize raffle, which every attendee is automatically entered into. The prizes are a WIP, but we have already agreed support from Prince of Wales micropub here in Chippenham... there will likely be other prizes as well, so don't worry if you're a non-drinker/too young for that- everyone will be catered for.
Spot prizes
We'll adopt the same approach to spot prizes as per the Festive Throwdown. We haven't decided on what the challenges or prize options will be, but it's likely some kind of boozy short or a pie!

Ruleset
BB2020 per the official rule book. Any supplementary rules published by Games Workshop, such as Spike Journals and Almanacs, in addition to rules accompanying any product release, such as the packets inside Star Player packaging.
The Teams of Legend document, released and hosted by Games Workshop.
The Errata and Designer’s Commentary (known as FAQ) published by Games Workshop.
We’ll use the ‘Exhibition Play’ rules (p101-103) for resurrection events, including the exhibition version of the Prayers to Nuffle table.
Slann teams are allowed and will use the NAF roster.
The above sources, published up to the date of the tournament are valid.
Scoring and tiebreakers
Games will be scored as follows:
- 30pts – win.
- 10pts – draw.
- 0pts – loss
- Bonus points per casualty and touchdown up to a maximum of 4 for each.
- Total score.
- Opposition Score (Strength of Schedule).
- TD difference.
- Cas difference.
- Touchdowns scored.
- Cas scored.
- Rock paper scissors.
Painting and models
All models should be painted to 3 colours minimum and be based. In terms of models, anything goes as long as it’s clear which models relate to different players on a roster. If in doubt, speak to a TO.
