Yorkshire’mas Bowl will be held on the 15th December 2024 and is hosted at Leodis Games, Unit 10, Springfield Mills, Bagley Lane, Farsley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS28 5LY.


Game timings will be as follows:
09:30 to 10:00 Registration
10:00 to 12:15 Game One
12:15 to 12:45 Lunch
12:45 to 15:00 Game Two
15:00 to 15:15 Break
15:15 to 17:30 Game Three
17:30 to 18:00 Awards and close

Entry costs and payment
• Entry cost is £15 for NAF members or £20 for non-NAF, this includes sign up/renewal
• Entry cost does not include any lunch. Local cafes close to the venue are available and the venue allows outside food to be ordered in.

We will be using current (Second Season) rules and NAF approved additions as follows.

NAF Rules for Tournaments (including Slann teams)
Note that the rules for Exhibition Play are being used (SSRB pages 101-103)
As we will be using “Resurrection” rules; coaches will play each match with the same starting roster and do not need to record SPPs or any ongoing injuries.
Undead, Necromantic and Nurgle teams may gain an additional player as per the relevant “Masters of Undeath” or “Plague Ridden” rules but any players gained this way do not carry over to subsequent matches.
Vampires get their thralls at the end of the match so this will have no effect in resurrection format.
The ref team will be on hand to ensure rounds run to time and will advise of time remaining periodically throughout each round.
Each player on your roster must be represented by an appropriate painted miniature. You do not need to have miniatures for coaching staff but of course may do so if you wish.




Rosters
Rosters are purchased with a treasury of 1,150,000 gold crowns as per the exhibition play rules on page 101 of the SSRB.
Only the following inducements are permitted (Your team must include at least 11 standard players before purchasing any inducements)
0-3 Bribes 100k each (50k for teams with the Bribery and Corruption special rule)
0-1 Riotous Rookies 100k (Ogre or Snotling teams only)
0-1 Halfling Master Chef 300k (100k for Halfling teams)
0-2 Star Player at Standard Price and 2 Skill Points for stars up to 200k, 4 Skill Points for stars beyond 210k
Banned Star players
Any mega stars
Any stars released after November Errata & Designer’s Commentary

Tier 3 teams: 10 Skills Points - 3 secondary skills allowed, 2 Stars available

Buy extra skills - Costs 20k from the initial treasury per skill, normal/single skills only, max of 2 skills

Etiquette
Blood bowl is a battle of skill and luck between you and your opponent. RULES quick reference guides are useful and encouraged. Play books that tell you HOW to set up, attempt a one turn touchdown etc are not!
We may not be able to include anyone that arrives after the registration period has closed in the initial round one draw.
Please don’t distract the top table(s) whilst they are playing the game, especially if you have a vested interest in a particular outcome!
It is the responsibility of the coaches to check that both teams have set up the correct number of players in a legal formation at the beginning of each drive. Ideally errors should be corrected before any dice are rolled. However, if it is later realised that a coach had set up too many players then random player(s) determined by a D16 will be sent off for the rest of that drive.


Games and Scoring
The first round will be drawn randomly, with all further rounds using the Swiss system. The overall winner will be the coach with the most points at the end of the day – there will be no final.

Points are scored as follows:
50 points for a win.
20 points for a draw.
0 points for a loss.
+1 Bonus point per touchdown (max 3 bonus points)
+1 Bonus point per casualty (max 3 bonus points)

Players on the same points will be separated by the following tiebreakers:
1. Submitted roster in Tourplay on time
2. For most touchdowns ONLY – highest net touchdowns
3. For most casualties ONLY – highest net casualties
4. Opponent Score - the sum of all opponent’s tournament points, also known as strength of schedule. (tourplay records this as BHZ or Buchholz score)
5. Net Touchdowns
6. Net Casualties
7. Thumb War (TBC)



Awards
Subject to sufficient sign ups we aim to give awards in the following categories. We will operate a “highlander” policy where you can only win one award with the exception of best painted which will not exclude you from winning something else.

• Stunty Cup (highest placing stunty team)
• Best painted
• Wooden Spoon (last place)
