A season of the MBBL takes 6 months.
A season of the MBBL2 takes about 8 months.
A season of the PBeMBBL takes I think 5 months.

Best recommendation to get your feet wet is to try the REBBL challenge league ( http://www.rebbl.com ) or the PBeMBBL league ( http://www.pbembbl.org ) .

Both of these leagues are a great way to get used to the game and both are LRB 2.0 leagues.

I would like to look into integrating PBEM into OBBLM. I took a look at the report and it looks binary. Would anyone be able to or want to give me information on parsing it?

Best bet is to PM Galak, as he pretty much rewrote most of the code.
