Key list for pbem tool

However you play online - Java, Vassal, Email, Cyanide etc - talk about it here.
This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

Key list for pbem tool

Post by mattski »

I have posted this at the MBBL forum but for those who use the tool but don't go there here is a list of the key commands that they tool recognises:

The tool is great, it really is. And whilst using a right click menu is intuitive once you know how things work there is another way. A quicker way. And a way that once you get used to it will speed up your use of the tool dramatically and even make it more fun to use (trust me on this).

The following is a list of key controls that Tom has programmed into the game. All you have to do is right click on a player and then choose the key for the action you wish to carry out:

a = dodge
b = gets the ball
c = stats player change
d = declare action (although this is not yet implemented but it will be great when it is Wink )
e = catch the ball
f = send off / temp out
g = open up targeted actions menu
h = show ranges
i = pick up
j = injury
k = pass
l = lose tackle zone
m = gfi
n = ends player move
o = makes player prone
p = special action menu
s = scatter ball from player
t = stand player up
u = stunned
v = put player in reserve
w = show passing ranges
y = make injury roll

f then s = send off
f then t = temporarily out
f then h = heat exhaustion

g then c = chainsaw
g then d or h = hypnotic gaze
g then i = side step
g then l = leap / pogo
g then m = multiple block
g then o = throw in movement (so useful for a fanatic)
g then p = pushback
g then r = throw team-mate
g then s = shadow
g then t = stab
g then w = throw bomb

h then h = show diving tackle
h then o = show tackle
h then w = show disturbing presence
h then s = show pass block

j then k = K/O
j then b = badly hurt
j then s = seriously injured
j then i = niggling injury
j then t = serious injury -1 ST
j then v = serious injury -1 AV
j then d = dead

p then a = armour roll
p then p = pick future side step square

Once you get use to right clicking and pressing 'a' to dodge you will never want to go back to choosing it on the menu again!

Hopefully this helps some,

Mat
